My key doesn't work and other problems I've had( possible support)
After some previous problem, which I mention below. i decided to take my game to my cousins since he has a decent computer, well better than the one I was using. Well brought my game and my saves(bsb files in the mydocument folder, hoping it will work, Would it work???)
Well I had to put my product key to my account again(I thought it was going to be like steam where games are just yours forever, since they are connected to your account) but I had to place the key again, I did and it basically told me my key was not valid. So I couldn't make a save files, i mean I could do the offline save thing but I was hoping that by being signed in to my account it would allow me to load up the previous saves(which I placed in the Bioshock 2 save folder in mydocuments).
Well I was hoping I could just beat the perseophone stage, watch the ending, and anxiously wait for Bioshock Infinite.
Well the question is, once I upgrade my PC, how will I go validating my key when I go through reinstalling (I uninstalled Bioshock 2 and GFWL because of issues Read on below) the game to my PC
Doing the whole GFWL to save is ridiculous, I really hope you haven't gotten into another partnership aggrement with GFWL for Bioshock Infinite because their pc game service is awful. The idea is just awful too. Please just stick with steam, i mean they are basically the inventers of this online video game service.
Well read on to learn about my previous problem, maybe you can provide some form of help. My main issue is with the Key though.
This is my previous problem, well I messaged tech support but they didn't do anything.Copy pasted from my email
Well was having a blast playing through the game, Well I reached Persephone well while walking down the corridor and getting Eleanor's call for help "I'm in a cage, something wrong" my whole computer basically crashed, The screen turned greenish, and basically froze, I couldn't do anything. I had to hold the button to turn off the computer, well I got a message saying something about insufficient onboard video memory
well I googled and read of two users who experienced this, well the one from 2k forum support said that
"Have actually now fixed the problem - 'Logmein' installs a 'fake' video device in the device manager. It appears that B2 is actually querying that instead of the correct primary video device. disabled it and all is ok."
Well thinking it may be the same problem, but I couldn't see any extra video card thing, It only showed my nvidia9800 gt in the display driver section(i have 2 gb ram, windows 7 ultimate 32-bit) well since it basically the ending and I really want to see how it ends (I LOVE THE STORY and EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS GAME), I decided to basically "force" it to work, I tried to play a lot of times, and got as far as the Vending machines (circus and bandito) before I had the same crashing problem. I even put the game on lowest setting with everything off and it still crashed, even removed the camouflage tonic (thinking that the changing thing is too much for my system) I even replayed the previous level fontaine futuristics just walking around and it was fine, and I could basically do that level just fine, I even killed Alex the great and didn't get my system crashed. Walked to persophone and boom it crashed again.

Well finally gave up, I really don't want to restart or anything. I don't know what wrong, I keep thinking that the disk could have a malfunction, since it is a "first" generation disc (I'm assuming its the same as buying a console and how first generations have bugs) I purchased my copy of bioshock 2 SE (brand new sealed) from a seller on Ebay because he had it on sale for 30 dollars, well to my surprise the game was actually sealed in a 2K BOX complete with a yellow sticker exclaiming "do not sell before tuesday, feb 9th 2010, severe penalties" (I'm assuming the guy owns gamestops or some other video game store)
Well that is why I'm saying that it is a "first generation" disk. Well sorry for writing A LOT and thank you for taking the time to read it, really hope you can help me figure out what is wrong.
Well a Micheal told me to send DXDIAG and MSINFO and I sent the required material, along with this message.
"Well I haven't played the game, but the computer has crashed now about every 5 hours, I can't help but think its because of some game for windows live thing. And again the game ran perfectly until the Persephone stage. T_T. Well thank you for your help."
Then I was told by a different guy
"If your computer is crashing when the game is not running then this may be an issue with the computer itself.
Kind regards,
David
Technical Support"
I responded a final message
"Well the computer was perfectly fine, until I got into the Persephone stage, I'm fighting a lot of people in Fontaine Futuristic with my two security bots without lag, and as I stated before I revisited the fontaine futuristic and it was running fine. By me just going being in Persephone and walking down the corridor it would crash, even though it just a corridor and nothing is present.
I just don't want to play the game again just to get shafted in Persephone. did you look through the ms32 report? maybe it said something about the disc having corrupted files?"
Well I didn't get a reply or anything and I believe my message is basically ignored since David just didn't read what I previously wrote. I know I'm basically accusing you guys, so he may not want to respond, I want to say I ain't trying to get a graphics card compensated or anything, but would like to be guaranteed that the game disc is just fine.
I uninstalled bioshock 2 and GFWL hoping it would remove this "fake" graphics card. Well for a while I believed it did remove the crashing problem cause it wasn't crashing, but after about 10 hours it crashed on him. (he is a hardcore Mabinogi guy
, but I totally ruined his gaming during a special event
. )
Well we had spare card so intalled, well the computer is fine. Have Ordered a new nvidia gt 250. but I fear something could really be wrong with the disk or something.
