If you ain't got Steam, you ain't got multiplayer

So yeah, I am obviously on the internet (Captain obvious moment there ).

So I checked out the 'alternative' way of checking out Civ V (hoping no one is so dim they can't figure that out).

Hmm it has not defeated the need for Steam for multi player. Must confess, that impressed me. Damn near nothing defeats protection eh.

And this game loses massive sums of whoopdeedoo if played solo vs the AI (not a knock on Civ V though, I have NEVER once cared for computer gaming AI in anyone's game).

So there it is I suppose. No Steam, no Civ V. Well not point in Civ V I suppose.

Now that I have scratched that itch, I need to go and install my genuine copy of Civ V. Because I play solo reluctantly.

If you don't have the software infrastructure that the game uses to do multiplayer, you can't play MP. wow. Who would have saw that coming?

Uh, I don't get it. How can you play without Steam? This goes for Single and Multiplayer. You telling me you can play Civ V without Steam?
