    Predefined_Plasmids?

    I was looking in the Bioshock\Content\System folder and opened predefined_plasmids.lst with Wordpad and found some interesting findings. I bolded the ones that are not in the game and some that I saw footage from a long time ago have that plasmid which isn't in the game as well.

    ;predefined_plasmids.lst
    ;
    ;This is the list of Plasmids for which Mods can be associated
    ;
    ;It is read by the IGEffectsConfigurator and is used to populate the
    ; Plasmids drop-down list.
    ;This file can also be used as documentation for contexts.

    I think it is a big let down when they show plasmids on video's show en in E3 to just lie to customers about what is going to be in the game. I really want a Speedboost and Irritant plasmid.

    Those plasmids just didn't make the final cut - it had nothing to do with lying.

    They didn't lie to you. Games change as they go through development. SpeedBoost may've turned into the SportBoost gene tonic, just like Irritant may've turned into Enrage. You can only have so many similar plasmids before it becomes redundancy.

    If you really want to understand what the redundancy I'm talking about is, go look up Magic The Gathering for a bit. Do you really wish Bioshock had ended up like /that/?
