I want to know the date of release of Duke Nukem
Ok thank you
but I want some pictures of this game and the story of it
You and everyone else...
Source: http://www.maximumpc.com/article/DNF?page=0,1You’re saying 2011 for the release date. Can you narrow it down at all? First half of the year? Second?
It’s 2011. If I told you a particular date, no one would believe it anyway. So it’s better that we just all acknowledge the fact that if we’re going to make a promise, let’s make a broad promise. Because the more narrow we get, the more like asshats we’ll look if we fail. So our goal is to say 2011, and we’ll get it to you when everything comes in line and it’s appropriate for the market. That’s what we’re taking into account. We just don’t want to make promises we can’t keep.
1st of April 2011.
No no. February 1st, 2011.
There is no confirmed date. Period.
I've been a regular poster for like 3 years of excitement that it's coming soon, Kinda like those 2001 days. I've known about it for many years, and there were some lul years, but the last few have been such long torture, sometime 2011 seems like forever. I really hope it's a first quarter game, but historically that is the quarter in which the least amount of game releases have happened![]()
I hope you can sit in the game so I can sit on a space mutant's decapitated body and play the "I'm gonna rip your head off and SH1T down your neck" sound clip. Anyone know if we can decapitate aliens?
You and me both, El K4L!B3Y, I'm sick and tired of waiting for it! GRRRRR!!
I've seen a few sites listing a release date as the 31st of May, is there any truth to this?
Two examples:

The Amazon.com listing clearly states "Official pricing and release date have not been announced by the publisher. These are estimates only and subject to change."
Duke Nukem Forever will be released in 2011. As 2K Elizabeth stated above, we've yet to announce anything more specific than that.
I'm guessing Gearbox and 2K will release DNF around September or October, sounds reasonable so Gearbox has enough time to go through the alpha, beta, and delta modes. As well they still need to get their ESRB Rating most likely around the time of the beta, and release the game & console information.
You had your meeting. What's the announcement?
Well the fact the Chris from Gearbox is on the forums now is a very good sign.. I have noticed a trend in game releases from 2k. When they get closer to time to announce information the developers start hanging out. (as they did with Mafia, Civ, BS, BS2)
True I suppose but the point still stands, when game specific people start to get involved with the forums it usually means they are preparing for more traffic, which in turn has generally meant, from the last 3½+ years I have been visiting these forums, that something is about to happen.
I am not confirming anything but I would wager that soon we will hear something.
Considering that to end the lawsuit between Take Two and 3DRealms, Gearbox is finishing the game, you'd think that the companies involved would be doing their best to hype DNF. Instead, after PAX there's been nothing new, and it seems that the ones to see DNF must have had to sign a non-disclosure agreement since no one is talking about what they saw. To me it doesn't sound good when they are going to "peel back the next layer" (meaning not much info) and there will be "many months of craziness" (hopefully more than a tiny bit every 4 months or so). Everyone involved needs to do much more to hype the game, but I'm not getting my hopes up. They are doing a bad job so far.

Frankly at PAX there was nothing new. I remember some shaky low quality video recording a guy playing the game. It was obvioulsy intended to be that way for a "tease effect" I guess. Really couldnt see anything. I dont know who's idea that was, but it was a terrible plan. I got more out of the fake trailer posted on YouTube to be honest.
Then there was Randy Pitchford unleashing some gameplay in Sweeden or something. He kept talking and stopping the video. I saw a bathroom. I saw Duke talking to some school girls. I'll tell ya, after 14 years I expected a little more.
One thing about 2K and Irrational...they know how to put out some teaser/trailer media! Ken's 9 minute walkthrough in 2006 was more than an entire 14 years of DNF material!
Oh that was you?Miss Elizabeth?
I guess it was something new to try, but the atmosphere cannot really be captured with a camara filming, like it can with a video of the gameplay. Not as immersive. Even though your one of my favorites, I'm sticking to my opinion on this one
A nice 6 or 7 minute walkthrough, like Hunting the big daddy/sister trailers, or Ken's 9 minute walkthrough with Joe Faulstick at the controls...now that would be a good trailer![]()
Good work Dragonknight! Ok, May 3rd is the release date, so now we know.
Alright, May is dedicated specifically to DNF and nothing else, it can't get here fast enough.
Talk about over shooting the date.I've seen a few sites listing a release date as the 31st of May, is there any truth to this?
