    My favorite scenarios.

    So far I've been playing America against the Muslims (AI) as WW III. Now I'm playing Germany against Russia (AI) as WW II. Here are the specs and results so far:

    WW III played:

    11/13/2010 11:06 AM

    Start:
    Human = America (216 points)
    AI = Arabia (216 points)
    No City States or Barbarians
    Duel Map Size and Random Map Type
    Immortal Difficulty, Standard Pace (500 Turns), Modern Era
    Random Personalities
    Disable Start Bias
    Victory Conditions: Time or Domination
    Turn 325 - 1905 AD
    Declare war on first contact with AI and never make peace.
    Starting accumulated hours = 124

    11/14/2010 3:26 PM

    End:
    Domination Victory after 125 Turns with a score of 4,316 points.
    Accumulated hours = 130
    Game time = 6 hours

    WW III completed.

    Now for WW II:

    11/14/2010 3:31 PM

    Start:
    Human = Germany (172 points)
    AI = Russia (172 points)
    No City States or Barbarians
    Duel Map Size and Pangaea Map Type
    Immortal Difficulty, Standard Pace (500 Turns), Industrial Era
    Random Personalities
    Disable Start Bias
    Victory Conditions: Time or Domination
    Turn 250 - 1700 AD
    Declare war on first contact with AI and never make peace.
    Starting accumulated hours = 130

    I've never had a crash this way. It appears larger maps, save files and AI players contribute to the crashes. Try my specs for WW II and WW III.

    Is that a challenge? Or are you just very proud of your scores?

    This reminds me of something I saw on TV about Sarah Palin supporters.

    Actual quotes when asked if they support Sarah's foreign policies:

    "I don't know her policies"
    "I can't remember any of her policies"
    "I don't know any of her policies, but she is right when she says we shouldn't have to compromise, because compromise is for people who are wrong!"

    I think this says it all when it comes to (some(most)) Americans and polotics tbh, especially Republicans.

    Can't you see it's not Obamas fault he can't get any of the good law changes passed?

    Also, HE IS NOT MUSLIM you uneducated people!

    Game SCENARIOS, not politics

    I cited two GAME scenarios, not political statements. If you hate America, go ahead and play Arabia and let the AI play America.

    The big point is to use only one AI and leave out City States and Barbarians.

    Some of you just keep complaining how bad the game is but never try to adjust your game playing to REALITY.

    By the way, America today is only fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq. Russia is fighting Muslim separatists in Chechnya. Central Asian Republics like Uzbekistan, Turkestan and Kyrgistan are fighting Muslim fundamentalists. China is fighting Muslim separatist Uighurs. Philippines is fighting Muslim separatists. Thailand is fighting Muslim separatists. Algeria is fighting Muslim diehards. Turkish society has split between Secularists and Muslim fundamentalists. Israel is fighting Muslim fundamentalists. India is fighting Muslim separatists in Kashmir. Germany, Netherlands and France are encountering problems with Muslim immigrants. Women in Afghanistan complain about Muslim men cutting off their ears and noses. Mosques are being blown up daily in Iraq by Muslim fundamentalists. Does anyone notice any common thread there? Are all these conflicts really ONE WAR?

    I like to play war games and read books on real conflicts in history. Naturally, taking sides in those conflicts alienate folks on the other side. To play a conflict simulation totally separated from real history, try online chess. Its all symbolic there and one side wins by totally destroying the other side emotionally. That game is totally separated from real historical conflicts.

    Perhaps a future Civilization V upgrade will allow totally fictional names of nations, cities and leaders. That would make the game more symbolic without referencing real names of nations, cities and leaders. Frankly, I'd like to see a more symbolic Civ V stressing one on one combat like online chess but with modern weapons simulated and the great graphics it has now. Then Civ V could rise to the same importance as a 2,000 year old game like chess.

    I'd also like a Civ V game board even smaller than the Duel Board. Using the latter board it takes me 5 to 6 hours to complete one game. Online chess can complete a game in 2 hours (slow) and 5 minutes (blitz). A real competitive Civ V game should allow 2 players to complete the game in 2 hours with a win by conquest or points.

    You did make a political statement, and a racist one at that.

    You equated Arabia, with Muslim, and indicated, that a world war, would be the USA v Muslim.

    Thats as disgusting as suggesting, WW2 would be Germany v Jew, and suggesting one person take the German Civ, and the other the Civ of Israel.

    It is stereotyping, racist, and offensive.

    I pretty much a conservative when it comes to politics. Not that I hate liberals, just that the beliefs of conservatives are far superior and righteous compared to liberal policies. Personally, I think Sarah Palin huge imbecile who simply attracts as much media attention at possible. Many other republicans think the same.

    And about the Tea Party, it's just some petty attempt to lower Obama's popularity. Unfortunately, it is led by this idiot and only attracts middle-aged white women.

    ---

    Some more facts I'd like to state, Obama was born in Hawaii several years before it became a state. His father was a Kenyan, most likely Muslim. Obama does not speak much of him religiously, so I assume that he was not the influence of his beliefs today. He refers to his mother a "spiritual" woman, although not religious or churchgoing. His mother however, was a Christian. Therefore, I'd assume Obama was raised a Christian.

    I don't think it's a question. Obama is a Christian.
