    GOTW- Russians 15th Nov 2010

Didnt explore all the map but

    AW is far NNW
    USA East of start
    egypt far E and a little N\
    Aztec SE
    Romans NE of USA

    on island friendly hut NW
    hut SW
named tile SW of hut (i think)

So we are on an island, USA are close across the water but other than that it looks like it will take an age to meet anyone. I suppose someone will work out he walkout foir the americans and get them around 1800 or somthing But aztec might be almost impossible to take if they get 2AA up.

Looks like a slow week again as predicted

Wait for scottpi He should take Washington at 2400 Bc with 2WA or earlier Rome with 1WA. I won at 2500 BC but i lost at 2400 BC.
(also like usually i plays for fun on lower levels, 2600 BC on Chieftain is perfect and 1900 BC on Warlord very good - maybe perfect)

Well we had a run of some really fun maps. What can you expect? Just as i finished moving flat and can play GoTW again we get this crappy map. Talk about bad timing...

Again MC (Mawpawk Challenge - i don't take AI cities) but where is Mawpawk?
Yesterday i posted 500 AD Technology Victory (end of week for me on Deity), not so bad (GB,GH,2GS,2GE), with perfect GP ~300 AD should be possible.

Not boring, this week is fun and different, different strategies (also different on all levels: Chieftain walkin + horses + settlers, Warlord WA + HA, King walkout and brute force with Legions, Emperor WA + LA + HA). Dom on Deity ??? i played only non-dom-MC, Dom should be very hard, i can't win 2WA vs 2A+1L (at 2500-2400BC).

Also this map is easy and linear. I don't know why others are that slow? Island is perfect for newbies. All moves are so obvious: warriors for money (galley to transport warriors for more money, caravans for 50g, sell techs), early 100g settlers, early Republic from AW (2400BC? i forgot), spam cities.

Liam is on 100AD for Dom,
I haven't tried much but that probably would take a bit of work to beat because of the difficulty in getting an early capital.

Ha ha yeah I had a bit of time on my hands! The eco one was a bit lazy and can easily be improved as can the tech one. 100ad with knights was a pain. If you're lucky I find that egypt's archer armies have march so when they walk out the end up staying with the settler. The GP goes with the settler too and they still had a single legion in Thebes late on lol.

Well not that i am an expert because i flounder a bit too (you'll notice all my non-dom with times like 100BC and 600BC are econs) but...
try advanced flight from oxford - its a preq for space flight and you can't get space flight from oxford.
and the spaceship should be 1 habitation 1 life support 4 propulsion and one fuel (or more if you have lots of spare production but i dont think this one matters much for some odd reason).

BTW congradulations Mawpawk on advancing to the semifinals in the champions league tournament.
