Installation without an Internet Connection, Is it Possible?

I was wondering if it is possible to install BioShock on a computer without an Internet connection? I have a new self built highly specified machine that I utilise for Gaming and Media Hosting only! and I never intended for this computer to have access to the Internet (Security Reasons Mostly). I have my older computer which is connected to the Internet, but it is not meant for playing games, (especially a game with BioShock's requirements).

My thoughts were something along the lines of installing BioShock on the older computer and activating it online, then copy over what ever folders and files to the new computer to make it work.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this, keeping in mind, that I have to install BioShock on the new computer witch has no Internet connection and the activation method is part of the installation process.

I assure you I am not trying anything dodgy, I only want to be able to play the game on my new computer, witch I chose not to connect to the Internet for many good valid reasons, which I am sure I am not the only one.

I can respect the issue of piracy, but piracy is clearly not the issue in my circumstance, the issue here is that the method of product activation in this software is completely over the top, surely once I have activated my product (confirmed it is a legitimate copy) I have the right to install it when and where I choose.

It doesn't work that way, I'm afraid. You need a net connection on whatever computer you want to install the game on.

Nope this is absolutly not possible. The computer you intend to use the game must have internet initaly to be able to activate your game. Copying your game from your old computer to your new one with no internet will not work ethier. During activation you are downloading software to protect piracy called securum which is installed in your registry. If you want you can establish an internet connection for the purpose of activating then disabling the internet.

I'd get that thing on a network in your house. You can get a router with a built in firewall, and there is plenty of software to protect a PC.

You can do so many things with a network nowdays, you could basically have your old PC connected to the net as the server, and then have your new PC connected to the net only via the network. (You could even have the PC connected to the net wirelessly, so you don't need cables all over your house). And you can set up a firewall to block absolutely everything if you wanted to. And then just put a little gap in the firewall for Bioshock to run itself, but nothing else.

Its not the easiest thing in the world to set up, but its not hard either. Everything you would need to know is available for free on google, and there are lots of forums out there you could get help on.

The internet connection is a requirement of the game to work.
