    Lost Civs

Hey don't worry if your favorite civ loses in the first two rounds. Three lucky civs will be allowed a second shot in the third round. You get to chose of course. I planned this because it might not be fair that two very good civs are matched up and one had to be eliminated, and the fact that 18 civs didn't make a very nice tournament, and with the three extra it does.

    How this tournement works

If you wonder if there is a method to my maddness, there is, the tournament looks like this. The numbers rep the civs above. The Ks are for returning civs. The reason for this is posted above under lost civs.

Some things never change: I'll be cheering on England until their shock first-round exit to Egypt, after which point I'll blame Elizabeth for not being a good enough coach, blame the overpaid longbowmen for not trying hard enough, and then spend the rest of the competition supporting anyone who plays France or Germany.

(I bet Roman supporters are pleased. With their team getting a bye, at least they will fare better than Italy did in South Africa .)

Yea, I tried making it with spaces and the thing flipped when I posted it. It removed all the spaces so it would have looked like this:

    Yeah, where's the new civs!

But he has a pretty good reason. The tournament was created on the 24th. The civs were released the next day. Talk about bad luck. But I'm sure you could fit them in there somehow Kevik!

Alright I found a way to add the new civs. We will have Babylon face the Mongols for the K2 spot on the badly done diagram above(this will be a round 2 match) . But now only two civs can make a come back for the K1 and K3 slot.( for more info see lost civs, its above the tournament chart)

This is for all those people asking about adding the new civs, See I do care about what you say (as long as it is only about how good I am doing)

    Don't fight the poll

For all you player haters out there who disagree with what I am doing, (that means the tournament) stop, you won't win because to many people like this, other vs polls created by others only cover a few civs, here I made sure to cover every last one of them, even the new civs, so don't fight the poll join it, just vote for your favorite civ. Leave it be, you'll get used to it

So please do it for me and I won't bother you.

Well this has been a very eventful week for my tournament. As of now i have a pretty good idea on whose going to win in the first round. Round two starts when round one ends. I am looking for more noticable titles for the polls but I think I have that covered. So to all the tournaments followers stay tuned.

Man...alot of the civs I would consider 'the best' are already out! How the heck did Egypt beat England? How is Siam out? They're up there as one of the best teams in the game right now.

You only need 1 thread with all the civilizations

You do not need to make 500 threads with 1vs1

Hey, don't insult the tournament! Why have 3 polls when you can have 22?

(Is it 22? I think so. I make it 8 in R1, 6 in R2, 1 to decide the two "lost civs", 4 in R3, 2 in R4 and 1 for the final.)

Seriously though, I think it's a good idea. It makes you properly consider each civ. If there was a list of 10 civs you'd just scan the list, find your favourite and vote for them, without considering the alternatives. This way, you really have to think about whether Rome is better than Persia, or whether Japan is better than Russia.

    Well done, Kevik, I say.

You're creating way too many threads on this topic. I suggest making one thread. There is an area for forum games and if these 'vs' threads continue, they'll be moved accordingly.

What do you mean by moved accordingly. Because grouping everyone together defets the piont of the tournament. Didn't you read what was posted above.

Is an interesting tournament, but.... (always one but jeje), but the dices also play in the tournament, a civ can appear in a wonderfull place or on a piece of waste, at least and if you have some more time can do 3 plays per match...

    my gratitude.

    Post Ending of round two

Well round two is just about to end and the lost civs thread will go up, that is if I can sort things out with the moderators (I still don't know what they mean by moved accordenly) who arn't responding. Until then the tournement will continue on a smaller scale. (One to two matches at a time, I mean we have gottons so far we can't just end it now, right?).
