multi player( how to save games.)

please help,i have been playing civ5 with my son who is in tawain and i in canada.the issue is how to say a game from multi player,it sucks that we play for a few hours and then lose all.

please help,i have been playing civ5 with my son who is in tawain and i in canada.the issue is how to say a game from multi player,it sucks that we play for a few hours and then lose all.

Multiplayer games are saved automatically in the auto save folder. To load a game, go into multiplayer and select "host game" and the option to load a game will be at the bottom. The games will all say "autosave" with a date, time, and turn stamp. If you want to rename them they are stored in "Documents\My Games\Sid Meyer...\Saves\multi\auto". You can also hit Ctrl+s to save the game with a unique name, but that file will be saved in the multi folder, outside the auto folder, and will not show up in the "load Game" list unless you manually move it there. Once you load the game it will wait for the others to connect and you can resume from where you left off.
