    Civ V Custom music

So, I used to be able to play custom music by putting mp3's in my custom music folder in civ iv. Does civ v have such a folder?

me too, like so many other, but this is gone.
Now you have to use an extern player to do so, what will use more resources than necessary.

Well, the sounds are now .ogg files and not MP3s, so it is likely that you would have to convert your MP3s into the .ogg format.

A custom music system for Civ V would be nice.

One of the things I would do with such functionality is have your leader's war music actually play after declaring war (at the moment you only hear your opponent's war theme, which is I think not what the designers intended).

An in-game custom music system would be best though, maybe something like Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic had, where you could select the game track from IN GAME as you pleased.

Adding my voice to the grumbling over the lack of this feature. *grumble, grumble*

In Civ4, you could just define a directory for the game to use for it's music, and it would use all the music files in that directory, and any subdirectories - that was such a great feature!

I mean the game music is good, but after a while, you'd rather listen to something else. I'm really disappointed that they didn't include this option in Civ 5, and I really, REALLY hope they add it in ASAP, in the next patch.
