When you ask a mechanic friend how well a internal combustion engine would work at 20 atmospheres (depth of around 600 feet) assuming you will be venting the exhaust into the ocean (and thus the whole combustion cycle has to use that pressure as the baseline.)
Effectively it is completely different from an automobile engine... (or worse, convertable for anything that has to run in both 20+ atm and 1 atm like something carried by a Big Daddy.)
