Multiplayer Cheat???
I'm not sure if this is possible, and I haven't tried it. I figured I'd ask in here.
I play against the same person every night online. We usually play one game over 2 nights. After the first night, we just quit out, and then whoever was hosting that night, loads the last auto save the next night.
My question is, I usually quit out first, whether I'm hosting or not. If the other player waits for a while, after I had already left the game, does an AI take over my spot in the game?
If so, then he could then save the game with the AI in my place, and reload it to see what I have done to that point, and prepare for it. If it saves him as the host, he would log in as my guy, and see everything I have. If it saves him as the non host, then it may take longer, but could still search out what I have.
I just want to make sure there is no way for a live player, to be able to load an auto saved game, and see what may be coming the next night. Whether it's just seeing beyond the fog of war, or even logging in as himself, and playing from that point on against the AI that may have been put in my place.
Thanks

You can try it yourself but I guess you are out of luck...Come on with so many features of MP missing you dont rerally expect them to think about anti cheating

Well you should try, you will see you can't take an other players place.

No, but he could quite easily play the autosave with an ai in your place and rush a unit or two into your territory to see what you're up to. But I suppose you could do the same with Ctrl-S. It's the same kind of lame save/load way some people play SP. Completely misses the point of the game.

Yeah it is possible, you are effectively reliant on the honour of the other players not to abuse this feature. Its either that or they prevent AIs from taking over dropped players which would have its own issues. Maybe it could be made a host side option and/or they could always give a win to the last human player connected.
Seeing as I play almost exclusively with RL friends I work on the principle that I can trust them not to cheat in this way.
Of course now I think about it that might be a mistake knowing my friends :P
