Any plans for SecuROM removal from Borderlands DLC on Steam?

I purchased BioShock on Steam as soon as I found out that SecuROM had been removed from it.

I purchased Borderlands on Steam as soon as I found out that SecuROM was not included in it.

I unfortunately purchased Zombie Island, thinking this trend would continue. I have never activated the DLC, nor played the content, since I do not want SecuROM on my machine. I also skipped over purchasing Moxxie's Underdome Riot due to its inclusion as well.

As a show of good faith, I purchased Knoxx and Claptrap's Robot Revolution as soon as they were released, since they did not contain any SecuROM.

My main reason is that I've had bad luck in the past with PC stability. When I first built this computer, the hard drive controller was faulty and I wound up needing to reinstall windows after irreparable system failures a total of six times until replacing the motherboard, which would have locked me out of any and all games using SecuROM's limited installations.

Is there any chance that SecuROM will be removed from the Zombie Island and Moxxie DLC for borderlands on Steam? As Knoxx and Claptrap's Robot Revolution have shown, it's not necessary to have them included. In a similar vein, there have been court rulings allowing for the end user's legal removal of restrictive DRM that prevent normal, legal game function, as well as the Librarian of Congress allowing for the dismantling of DRM (SecuROM in particular) for legal purposes.

I know others have posted about this in the past on these forums, and many others have posted on the Steam forums hoping for its eventual removal. If there's any way that someone from 2K could say whether it's in the works or not, I would greatly appreciate it. I want to be able to play Zombie Island since I've paid for it, and I would love to purchase and play Moxxie's Underdome Riot as well, but I personally do not support activation limitations in PC gaming, especially when tied to a service such as Steam that already has account-based restrictions in place.

If you can handle steam, which is much worse, then you have nothing to worry about. You should focus your efforts on having them remove garbage steam from mafia two and civilization 5.

Steam allows me infinite reinstallation and automatic updates, so it's much better in my opinion. I'm glad that Civilization V is using Steam as its DRM platform.
