Thread: Admit it

    Thumbs down Admit it

Admit that you didn't have the funds to finish the game, so you released it as a beta, took the money from sales to fund the rest of development.
Everyone that purchased this total failure of a game has now become an investor, to help you fix something that should have had only minor bugs at release.
I've been a longtime fan of the Civ series since it first came out, but you just lost another investor.
Congratulations, you've made a ton of money on this game because of the name alone, but you've totally ruined it for a lot of people.

This is the current trend with game developers nowadays and it should be illegal for selling crap that doesn't work, or barely works.

and you posted this flame on the support forum, because...?

if you are unwilling to describe a specific problem, just dont waste the devs time with that crap

The problems with this game are quite clear.
Although I only experienced 1 or 2 crashes, the other gamebreaking issues have been posted to death.
Freezing,Lag,Rendering Issues, etc... pick one, I don't have enough time to type out the full list of issues.

yeah guess what. i have the same problems. i am as frustrated as you are. But i want the devs to spend the time working on the fixes and i dont want them to waste time on reading flame threads.

if they fix our problems maybe we both can enjoy the nice game it hopefully is

Glad to see at least one mature folk on this forum. Fed up with the flamming posts around here. Be specific on a problem if you have one. Don't be immature, as developers don't have time to waste - yes I use to be one years ago - They will just ignore you and as a whole the community doesn't get anywhere.

    Picadilly,

I agree with you on the devs not wasting their time, they won't. In fact, I'm sure they barely skim the vast majority of any of this crap on these forums, but what the flames do accomplish is to prioritize resources inside the company above the level of the devs. (barring any very childish types, I'm just talking about coherently written complaints) With this many posts about anger and frustration, they will pop up on the web searches. At that level, potential buyers of this game will be put off, severely affecting future/current sales and investor relations. If the users never complain, but sit quietly and wait for the devs to work out the issues, this type is problem will happen again and again. I'm okay with slight bugs and minor issues, but what we have here is well beyond that. I have to agree with this game being titled "alpha" (from some other forum post.)

I guess my user experience of Civ V hasn't been hampered like a few here - apart from a graphical flaw with Wonders appearing in the sea. Still I stand by my last post, but I do feel sorry for the ppl who experience crashes with the game.
