    New Forests?

    So in Civ 5, is there any way to get forests to grow on tiles? Can they grow naturally by being near other forests, or can they be planted?

    No, it doesn't seem so. I have played several games and there has never appeared a new forest. Neither there is a tech/improvement that would allow creating forests.

    I heard a mod making forests/jungles grow was already out on the day the game hit stores. Haven't grabbed it myself yet but will soon. Check the CivFanatics mods section.
