    Joes Adventure Achievements revealed

    Here they are:

    http://www.xbox360achievements.org/n...d-To-1500.html

There is a supermarket mission, cathouse mission and a witness one...only 3 which are achievement related hopefully not the only 3 actual missions

Also a good few are bloody arcade points related

A supermarket level? I wonder... SR2 had one in a community center..

Anyway, It looks like there are 5 or so primary missions. And a point system like Jimmy. Whoopee. I'll probably get this just because I'm bored these days.

There is quite a few spoilers reading through these achievments, you mite want to put a spoiler warning in your thread title.

If they're as long/good as the original missions, that's half the price per chapter.

    Somehow that doesn't help.

I hope this means the story missions will be lengthy, since there are Trophies/Achievements for merely completing them.

    Exclamation

Ill buy it, it looks interesting. Pd: although this has minor spoilers (i would have read it anyway) you should indicate it. 2k should show some trophies as hidden

Disappointed that they still kept the points and most likely the timer.

    Stupid decision!!!!!!

I dont have a link but i think that there would be nooooooo point releasing it if it only had 5 missions, also if they are going to take a few months to release it it has to have more than 5 missions

I was really hoping there wouldn't be any trophies/achievements for Joe's Adventure. I'm still trying to get the one million points trophy for Jimmy's Vendetta; I'm to the point of breaking everything in my house because of that stupid trophy.

Well I suppose it really depends on how long they are, this supposedly being a story-driven DLC and all. If they're roughly as long as the average chapter/mission in Mafia II, that's like a third of the length of Mafia II

Notice this listing of achievements calls them "levels" though and not missions or chapters

    One last chance

According to what I know up to this date, I am a bit positive about revealed achievments.

In case we believe 2K Elizabeth ("We are listening to our customers"), adding to the fact the game was rushed yet engine is theirs, Joe's Adventures may be one big patch for the game, nicely wrapped as a DLC. Notice how 2K learnt from previous mistake (at least it looks like it) - they don't want to release any info which could be later used against them. That is in my opinion better than deceiving customers, be it unintentional or on purpose.

I know that is what im getting at

But for a game with as much driving as m2, and knowing the past history of the game it was released without wheel support too

So i'm hoping for the best but planning for the worst. @ 5 mission it'd better be $10 tops. <----- This is just my opinion and i'm not intending this to start a money debate thread :P

There are 5 *main* missions, but I think for you guys, everything else you can do (and play time) is probably more important as there is definitely more to it than just what you see in an achievement list. This content is going to take you around 6-8 hours - it's not a small thing!

Yes if there are 5 lengthy story missions like in the game then that would not be too bad, as long as there are plenty of side missions and stuff to do too.

Cool, i hope these "main" missions have plenty of cutscenes .How many side missions will there be?

I don't have a final number on those and yes, there will be cut scenes. I think play time is usually a better measure than mission numbers, since as you know our missions can be lengthy.

I think this looks quite ok, 6-8 hours is not bad at all, but it does depend a bit on the price of course, and yet again and still important:

What a waste of immersion, talk about downplaying (literally) ones own product, still hope they can add it

Lengthy like Chapter 4? One chapter for 10 minutes of real gameplay?
Sorry but I don't trust you anymore...

If you don't trust me, don't trust me - but that's the time you can expect from the content. If you speed run it you might be able to skirt under the low end, I suppose, but I know most of you guys don't play that way, so I'm confident in my numbers.

Ahh, you picked the second-shortest mission in the game.
She said that the missions CAN be lengthy (like 'Stairway To Heaven', as a counter-example), and it's true.

Mmmh... The fact is that missions are lenghty just because of long driving sessions, for the most part... I'd be happy to be contradicted by the facts, anyway...

Oh, another subtle way of making money by 2K: giving Duke Nukem Forever Demo (I repeat, DEMO) only to people that buy Borderlands GOTY...
2K marketing department is always very busy...

The driving is no more lengthy than in 'The City of Lost Heaven', and I'm not bothered by either.

The difference is, that Mafia didn't have so much "drive to the next cutscene" missions

Hmm, I don't know about that.
The first mission was just driving, the second mission featured mostly driving, followed by running away, and the third mission had you drive to Morello's Bar, destroy some cars and kill a few grunts, then drive back.
I'm not complaining about these missions, I'm just saying that both games seem pretty much the same when it comes to the driving-to-other types of gameplay ratio.

Playing both games right now, and don't forget that Lost Heaven is smaller, so driving time is a bit less even though cars be a bit slower. The AI is better behaved in Mafia so it's easy to navigate as well.

Open world style games usually swallow up a lot of game time driving around, what made you think Mafia 2 would be any different?

Driving is a big part of Mafia II (like it was in Mafia, as well!) We focused on the story, gunplay, and driving. I'm sure you've heard me say that before - so yes, there's driving in the full game and in Joe's Adventures, as well as other stuff. It's a good mix.

Agreed. But if you focus on driving and it's circumstances, I beg you to fix/improve a little bit on the cop and npc KI. Please, see all those specific threads. It would be cool to deliver this update with the DLC or within a patch.
