Here is my experience with the AI.
"You are building too close to my borders"
The computer is the one who is building his towns near me, yet I am building too close to his borders. Oh, and they always declare war on me a few turns later.
"That city state is in my area, don't build a relationship with them"
I friendly a city-state and the computer gets all mad at me for doing so. Oh, a few turns later they declare war on me.
"Will you go go to war with me against....."
I attempt to build a relationship with a major civilization like England, they ask me to go to war with them so I agree. They make peace a down the line and then so do I. Someone declares war on me, so I go and ask England for help by also declaring war against my target. What does England say? "That is not in my best interest" What the hell, I just went to war with you when you asked me, the least you could do is go to war with me.
"Your army is too small, I am surprised Barbarians have not run over you yet"
I had this happen a few times, it ends up with them declaring war on me. So I defend myself, we make peace, I then go attack another Civilization, and the same computer who made fun of my army sent me another message asking why I was picking on weaker civilizations. WAIT?? Weren't you the one who attacked me when I was a weak civilization? What gives you the right to complain to me about that issue?
The AI in this game is sad. Fix it please.
