Hi all. Hope someone can help. I am having some trouble running Civ 5 (obvs, otherwise I wouldn't be here). I initially had some of the same sorts of problems others were having - odd flickering screen in DX10/11, monitor not being able to decide what resolution it should be at, etc. Managed to fix those with the helpful solutions elsewhere in the forums (plus skip that annoying movie at the start).

My problem is - crashing. I can load up Civ, play (DX9 seems to work best) and then I crash. Could be 10 minutes in, could be 45, but eventually it will crash. Last night I tested it by leaving it running while I went off an made dinner for about an hour - came back and it had crashed.

Clearly this impacts on my enjoyment of the game - though it is a useful way to limit playtime so hoping someone has a suggestion, other than saving every turn (which I do now!) I am running it on my old-ish PC with a GT 220 card, 4GB memory, and have already upgraded drivers etc. (and I am not a PC expert) Patch the other day didn't seem to help really. Seems like others are having these problems but I've not seen any solutions...help!
