How do I prevent the Future era through modding?

Simple question, although I am not sure how simple the answer will be. Is it possible. I would like all research to be inaccessible past the Modern Era.

Find the relevant techs, and <delete> them. Also, find anything that refers to them and <delete> them or mod out the reference. Repeat until there are no dangling references.

You may also want to mod out the science victory, as the spaceship parts depend on future era techs (understandably, really)

It won't be as simple as deleting them if you are using a mod. The mod will have to state that X techs are "removed" and then will also have to state that X units and buildings need to be updated and/or removed.

Most of this falls under the "actions taken by mod" block that you fill out when you are completing the mod package.

Well, IIRC you remove them using <delete> elements in your supplementary XML, and then in the "actions taken" you have to tell it to apply the XML. I was assuming that the reader would read some of the modding docs...

Thanks! I will give that a try.
