Request/Solution! HDTV 720

Hi 2K games, thank you for releasing Civilization 5. The game looks beatiful on the screenshoots that I have downloaded and I also like the new features that you guys had added. However, why did you not add support for resolutions so you are able to use HDTV as a gaming monitor! The funny thing are that all other games I play has this feature, and that includs Mafia 2k, which is a 2K game! Add a patch imedatly for this problem, because a lot of us players uses HDTV as gaming monitors!
I have been calling 2k games support, and got a "ok" solution meanwhile we are waiting for a new patch!

At the moment I got a 32" inch HDTV 720 that I use as a gaming monitor.

My solution is, first to edit the GraphicsSettingsDX9 or the GraphicsSettingsDX11 file (depends on what directx you are running) that is located in the C:\documents\my games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\.
First of all change the paragraph from FullScreen = 1 to FullScreen = 0. This means that you will run the game in windows mode! If you run it in fullscreenmode it will crash!

Second step is to change the paragraph from:
my example...
WindowResX = 1280
WindowResY = 720

to
a resolution that is supported by my HDTV
WindowResX = 1176
WindowResY = 664

Third thing to do is to start the game and turn off the vsync (optional) in game graphic options.

This solution are ok you will see all the UI a small bit of the screen UI is "missing" but nothing that will hurt the game playing. Now iam going to enjoy the game .

I imagine that more information related to fully resolving such issues will become available over the coming days and weeks, but at the moment a windowed game mode with a 'happy medium' resolution is the best way to go.

That problem is because is not a true hd ready device, and is a random resolution, hdready= 1280 x 720 hdfull= 1920x1080, it happens with a lot of tvs that announce as hdtv, are not valid for use as comp or console monitor..
