    Game crashes after _X_ turns....

I see lots of these posted, but if more information will help, here's mine. It was working just fine up until turn 299, and now it freezes and then CtD after I click next turn.

I counted my cities, I have 63, and like many others, normally have no problems with the newest games.

My circumstances may be somewhat unique, I did a little xml editing before I started this game, I used the quick game settings for the marathon speed. I like getting things done early, so to speak.

Something changed, I tried my save after today's patch, and it doesn't crash anymore. Actually it does nothing. Right when it would normally crash, the screen goes black, the cursor keeps spinning, and the music keeps playing.

I checked in Process Explorer, and its still using cpu and ram, and the other counters are still moving. I left it go for about 1/2 an hour, and there it still sits.

I think you're on the right track developers! Have at it! Thanks.

I made it past the turn that was crashing. After my last post, I put Steam in offline mode, and I switched to strategic view before I hit next turn, and a moment later I was at turn 300!

I got lucky this time I think, but thanks to everyone who helped!

    All better

I of course ran into the 70 city bug a few turns later, but with today's patch, everything seems to be working just fine.

I can definitely confirm that I no longer have the 70 cities crash, I was crashing on 3 different civs, now all have 80+. The save I have posted here has closer to 100.

Thanks again to the guys in the shop, keep up the good work!
