Real True Start Map Request


I see the other one but that one doesnt work right

We are looking for World Map Modded with actual

culture starting spots.

EX. England starts on English Isles

France starts where Paris is

Germany where Berlin is

Tokyo where it is

etc.........................................

The TSL maps on the hub do work correctly.

Make sure you do this:
1. Run Civ5
2. Click MODS
3. Click BROWSE
4. Enable the TSL mod (button is on the right)
5. Click BACK
6. Click SINGLE PLAYER
7. Click SETUP GAME
8. Click the map selector and scroll down to find TSL map of the size you want
9. Click LOAD SCENARIO in the map selector box
10. Play

So you do know how to load it correctly. The pics show clearly that England is starting in........ England.

I know what England looks like. As has been said to you repeatedly, it is impossible to replicate exactly what any shoreline looks like at this scale.

Fill those 2 hexes in just above the top-most hex (the one that currently represents Scotland) - I know it might be slightly off-scale, but you'll get the GB shape almost spot on!

Other than that... WHY CAN'T YOU REPLICATE THE EXACT SHORELINE!? I want to be able to pick my actual real-life house out on your maps. Google Earth can, WHY CAN'T YOU?

On another point but also referring to the True Start Map..i´m enjoying them immensely but wanted to ask if it is possible to still change the custom rules for each scenario? (If Load Scenario is ticked, the button greys out..but i´d like to change the victory conditions).
Is there a way or is that simply not possible?

Un-click the load button and change your advanced settings then go back and click load scenario again. But you will have to change your leader again.

Now that is a rather severe deviation from the actual shape.


I suggest taking Rhye's world map as a model.

Europe is simply unplayable like that, it was bad enough in Rhye's already.
