That's your problem right there *points at x1300*
what can i do my dad wont let me buy new graphic card
any othere way can i make it work faster
Pour some Red Bull into the chassis.![]()
Yeh crank all the settings to lowest, make sure you have the latest catalyst drivers, maybe even try defragging the hard drive and killing some useless background/startup services. It will still run pretty crap no matter what cos your card is the absolute minimum requirement.
btw if you still have issues such as 'dad wont let me get a new card' are you sure you are old enough to be playing this game![]()

i put the resoulution to 1024x768 and turned of vysnc and put everything else on high and it worked fast![]()
So having changed the graphical options, the game is now working at the speed you expected?
Excellent. Let us know if you have anymore problems.
well... when i mean fast i mean playable but when i move the mouse or press a button on the keyboard it does it after 2 seconds
Im not understanding the full problem you are having with this game.
Can you explain in more detail what is happening with your game.
You're running the game with the absolute minimum required video card. This should translate into playable performance, but at the lowest image quality and resolution settings. Have a look at my common questions, problems, and solutions guide for improving performance under this condition. The topic of primary interest will be My PC just meets or slightly exceeds the minimum video card requirements for BioShock and the game runs very slow or choppy. What can I do to improve performance?

My Problem is when i move the mouse it takes time and when i press the forward button it takes 2 seconds for him to move
i run all the settings of high
That's where I would start if I were you. Run the game and see how it plays, then gradually turn the settings up if possible. That guide I linked to should give you a general indication of how each graphical option affects both visual quality and performance. Higher quality textures and shaders will lower performance. Disabling V-Sync and setting "Force Global Lighting" to on should increase performance.
I made it run a bit more faster by getting rid of high post processing
I've seen this problem with other people with X1xxx series ATI cards. The solution is to update to ATI's newest drivers. 9/10 people I've had try it had success. Vsync seems to be capping your framerate terribly low (should be 15, 30, 60 caps)
i got x1300 pro i updated it now
it says its already up to date

Exactly the same problem with load speeds, except mine seem to be up around 10 minutes to launch the game then around another 10 minutes to load a save game. Occasionally hangs during load. Once loaded plays fine.
During this long load time processor usage is very low (rarely over 6%) and hard disk activity is also low.
Have reformatted and reinstalled Vista, including updating all drivers to latest versions.
Whoops wrong thread! Apologies.
This is to the person who started the thread. I have a similar machine to yours, but I have a x1600Pro. I pretty much HAVE to play it at 800x600 with medium detail settings to get it above 30fps most of the time. Your video card is even slower than mine, so you may just have to deal with it to be honest. In you situation, you could try 640x480 with medium settings and see how that does. I finished the game at 800x600 and it was still very enjoyable to me.
i fixed mine just go to display settings then advance the mointer and change it to 75hz now running fast![]()
All on highbut without i switch high post processing off
1024x768![]()
Okay, I posted this elsewhere, but I guess I can reiterate. I've played PC FPS at 40-60 FPS (Specifically, Halo 2 at around 60, Half-Life 2 at around 45). I play Bioshock with all settings maxed, highest resolution, ect, ect, and get around 20-25 FPS. I don't see the big deal. Honestly. I'm not trying to get flamed, or piss anyone off. It's not that I don't see the difference, I do. Everything speeds up, your walking speed, gun fire, plasmid effects, the enemies, their attacks, ect, ect. But while visibly slowed down at 20-25 FPs, it doesn't look bad or wrong. It's not like its in slow motion or something, and I don't get hangups.
Sorry but you are not getting smooth framerates at 1024x768 with all high settings on a x1300. 2k even states that your card needs to be on low settings at 640x480 or 800x600. I have an overclocked 8600gt and get about 30-35fps average on high settings at 1024x768. My card is 3 to 4 times as powerful as an x1300.![]()
dunno but at least it works for me

One persons "smooth" is anothers "unplayable." It all depends on who you talk to and what that persons individual expectations are. Personally, if I can get a fairly solid 30fps at decent resolution and image quality settings then I'm usually happy. I'll certainly take more if I can get it, but I find that level of performance to be enjoyable on average.
On my one rig (P4 3.0Ghz, 2GB RAM, 7800GS 256MB), BioShock averages about 30fps at 1024x768, High Quality, VSync On but it does dip lower every now and again depending on what's happening on-screen. I find it very playable and enjoyable though. In general, even lower 20's isn't too bad for me. The teens is where I start to really notice a problem.
