is republic politic working

It says I get a +1 production on the cities, but I'm not getting it on any of my cities. Other politics works fine (like the one that gives +1 culture on every city). Am I doing something wrong?

The +1 goes to the "base" tile that your city is on. This makes it difficult to see because you often have so many other buildings and bonuses here. It does work though. It is also a percentile increase, so and +% bonus, affects it. That 1 production can turn into around 5 or 6.
