When reading marketing materials the big hype was put on graphic, including leader graphics. Well leaders look neet but I think in Civ4 they were more emotional. Now it's the same pose no matter what is their diplomacy towards you. Just like wax figures. Waxy Napoleon on his waxy horse.
Apart of this guy Montesuma. He's just ADHD I guess.
That's a small isue but I think that should be done nicer.
Personally I think the graphics rock--though they should have different animations when they really like you too. It seems as neutral/like you they have the same expression.
But look closely at the animation cycles--they're quite detailed and subtle. Love the way the flames. horses or clothing textures move with various leaders.
What I do also wish is that there'd be more voice overs--i.e. for when they offer a peace pact and when they taunt you.
I don't mind overall quality. It's nice. But animations are too subtle. When he begs you for a peace with hist last city surrounded by your army he should look a little scared.
