    Map Trading Mod

    I noticed this in the tech tree XML file earlier today.

    <Column name="MapTrading" type="boolean" default="false"/>
    No tech seems to change this from false to true. Looks like if we were to modify that we could add map trading back into the game.

    You might want to look around in the diplomacy files to see if there are any relating to map trading.

    I forgot about those. I'll check them tomorrow, unless someone else gets around to it first.

    I hope that the mechanic is built into the game and just disabled; I really liked map trading in the old Civs.

    I found myself missing that as well. Though, I only ever got it from the AI, never gave my own.

    Unfortunately it's not implemented in diplomacy/etc at all.

    I edited the tech file directly playing with this and nothing ever showed up in any trade screen, while open borders did - so the attribute is there with no frontend

    there are also files of religions
    it could be that they will be activated with a update later
