The game doesn't start at all for me.

If I try to start the game via steam, I click play and then nothing further happens.

If I try to start from inside my computer I get an error message which reads "The program can't start because d3dx9_42.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." It won't let me start the game from either direct x 9 or 10-11.

I know it's not a device driver update issue as I have maually checked everything.
