First off my specs...

P4 2.6
1 gig ram
256 meg 6800 gt

Yes i realise i BARELY make minnimum here... and in case anyones wondering im running 800x600 everything on except dx 10 shaders and and forced lighting.. at about 20 or so fps pretty smoothly... doesnt really go higher or lower...

My problem comes when theres a big daddy in the area... for whatever reason... the fist SOUND of a big daddy.. almost completely haults everything.. sometimes i get pauses of 5 seconds or more... and it only started happening recently... in ealier areas, i never had the problem...

I soppose the best thing to do would be upgrade... which im planning to in the next week or so... anyone else expienced the problem.. any way to allievate it... im going to go try dropping my settings and come back...
