Long term 2 player battle

I haven't bought the game yet, but hope you can answer the following:
Can you play a multiplayer match (2 players) without both players being online at the same time?

A want to play my friend over the internet and the plan is that we take our turn when we have the time, so i imagine it will only be one turn per day per player.

Can you easily save multiplayergames, mail them to a friend who then can load the game at take his turn?
Or do both players have to be online every time the game is played?

PBEM (Play by Email) is not implemented yet. At the moment, only simultaneous games are possible via internet or LAN. So, yes, both players are taking their turns at the same time. Hopefully, a future patch will include PBEM (Civ 4 has this feature), but at the moment, you (and the rest of us) are out of luck.

Me and my friend bought this game, and we are very disappointed. In place, buy Civ 3 or 2, even 1 is much better than this one. There is no animations for multiplayer, usually a game take like 8 hour to finish, because sid meier increase the productions and researchs times. The game have a lot of glitch.

Reallly, we lose like $250 and we cannot even reseale to gamestop, because this sad CIV 5 if playing for steam, so you have to created and account, without it, you cannot play at multiplayer.

We have been playing this game like CIV 1, but CIV 5 is the worst game of this saga.

Problem to fix with this game:
1.- It's very necessary to reduce the times of productions (unit and buildings) and researchs (technologies), to make the game faster (IN PLACE TO TAKE OUT THE ANIMATION). They have to do something between CIV IV and CIV Revolution in place to go back to CIV 0!.
2.- Give the animation on/off option.
3.- Right now, we cannot save the multiplayer games, so they have to Fix it.
4.- Too MANY glitch during the game. Like:
A) Sometimes the game doesn't start, all player are "waiting for other players"
B) If you take a ruin exactly when your turn begin, you will not get the ruin's benefit.
C) Some times, the game tell to chose production, chose research or a unit if waiting order. but YOU ALREADY DID IT, so, while they fix this glitch, we have a way to still playing. Just look after each or your unit, one of them is giving this glitch.

We advise you to NOT BUY THIS GAME until they fix all the issues!
