Steam installer is missing

Hi!

I recently got the boxed version of Civilization V and tried to install it. When I run Setup.exe (or insert the DVD) I get the option to choose language for the installation. Since I'm Swedish I choose Swedish. After that I get a second window with 2 options: Install and Exit. When I click Install another window appears, the "License Agreement" window. I choose to accept and after that I'm pressing Install. Now a window called "Setup Error" appears with the message "Steam installer is missing"...

My plan is to install Steam manually now, but my question is if someone else have had this error, or is it me that am totally lost?

Same thing happened to me. I also have the boxed version and installed using Swedish as language.

I installed Steam manually and the problem was solved.

Also, UTF-8 characters are not displayed correctly in the installer.

I run Windows XP by the way.

i'm trying to install the game here in Sweden, as well, but...
once i try to connect to Steam via installer, i keep getting connection failure message.
Did you have any issues with Steam?... Any tips appreciated!
