Oh yes...
That's made my day.
Is it the same studio (starbreeze?)
i still have to play the original...![]()
Apparently it's the same as the first one, only in HD with a few new levels.
So just a remake really.
Definitely, absolutely, you must
I guess that's okay— it's the type of game I'd play through a couple of times a year, every year or so, so if they could improve on it, then so much the better. If they're going to add new levels they have to add extra weapons (that tazer gun from the original got too repetitive just with the extra levels in the PC version). They need a handgun to replace it, at least for a couple of levels— more if they're adding even more levels.
I'm wondering if it's starbreeze that's making it, and whether I should get over to their forum and hassle them about adding extra weapons (the tazer gets way boring after a while).
I've just had a totally awesome thought— what if they finish implementing the hand to hand combat! That would absolutely rock (and with the success of Condemned it's totally justifiable).
I think I really need to hassle starbreeze.
360 only?
I got a little ways through Butcher Bay but I gave it up for some reason...don't know what I was thinking. The melee combat is interesting.
There was supposed to be an entire mêlée combat system, complete with finishing moves (but they didn't have time to implement it). If you look closely when using mêlée combat, some of the finishing moves are still in the game— worth looking out for— they're totally cool. I'd absolutely love it if they put the mêlée combat system back into it.
360 and Ps3. It's the same game cept for new levels and multi player.
I'm so happy that it's a remake of the origonal with updated graphics and achievements along with a sequel. (The fact that Starbreeze is making it doesn't hurt either)![]()
I'm looking forward to it more than I would a sequel, basically because sequels can get really screwed up.
I really hope they include more weapons and retrofit the mêlée combat system.
Riddick is one of my favourite games and part of my permanent collection.
