Ok so my comp is a windows vista Asus, 6 GB of Ram, 64 bit operating system. All my drivers are updated, ive got a crap ton of space on the comp.
Intel g45/g43 Express chipset.
I get into the Civ 5 games and i have a 2 second delay on doing anything, even moving the map. Im way past MINIMUM requirements. Ive get EVERY setting set to LOW or even minimul. WTF is going on? Why is it so laggy? and this is SINGLE player, not multiplayer or online. PLEASE HELP
(Running direct x9 btw)

Anyways, just because you're past minimum doesn't really mean much. It's definitely going to have some graphical slow downs.
Mind if I ask why you're still running Vista? I've got a friend with a far more powerful computer and he's experiencing more slowdowns than me (he's running Vista).
Anyways, all that aside. Try disabling antivirus when you play.. sometimes those little background scans can mess things up.

The probable cause of the pefromance issues will be Intel g45/g43 Express chipset you have listed . The only supported Intel based graphics are the core i3integrated graphics . If you could the rest of your system specifications we can confirm if there would be any other possible issues.

Hmm well vista is what it came with, and ALL other games ran smoothly so i havent changed, Im a WoW player and i have that game set to FULL graphics and it runs smooth and fast.
Anyways, its a Dual core, 2.60 GHZ, 6GB, 6108MB Ram 64 Bit Vista. My direct version installed is 10, but it recommends 9 for me, so i go with that. What else do you need to know? ill look it up for ya.
Just a quick update, my other comp that i installed it on has a Nivida 8600 geforce, and i have some settings set to high and it runs smoothly than this comp with all setting lowest..Is that graphics card way better than the chipset i have in this one? would that cause the difference?
And do you have any suggestions on the cheapest graphics card i can get to run this game smoothly?
