Space Race Victory

I just built the UN and won with the voting, so I won the game like that. However I was just about to complete all 4 modules to get the Space race victory so I told the game "Just one more turn".

I am trying to put all 4 space modules in my Capital but nothing I try works. Is it because I already won the game? I cannot figure out how to put all 4 space modules in my Capital.

Any ideas/clues?

Maybe playing after you have already won with "just one more turn" will not let you win any other way. Have you tried loading a save game and not winning with the UN and letting your starship be completed?

From what I understand (not done this victory yet, keep winning the game other ways earlier) they should be getting a 'Build Spaceship' action when they move into the capital.

So you move each part into the capital, and click Build Spaceship, and that uses up the part and adds it to the spaceship.

Hmm, Dont believe I saw that option but I will look again. Not sure if I have an auto-save before I built the UN.. Ill have to look at that too!

So many achievements, I NEED THEM ALL! lololol

I'm relatively new to Civ and love the game.

I built all the space ship parts but my capitol city will not except them (nor will any other city for that matter). When I highlight the capitol city to move the space ship part into it, it gives me a red hex.

I do also have the United Nations built. Does that take precedence? Meaning once it is built that a space race victory cannot be achieved?

Please post a reply as this is driving me crazy.

I can get a couple parts into the capitol and add them to spaceship but then the rest won't enter.... its not 2050 either its like 2010.

Once the game has finished, whether by win, loss or time, you are no longer able to add the parts to your spaceship. This will explain some of the problems reported above.

As for the problem moving parts into the capital, remember that parts are civilian units so they cannot move in there if you have another civilian there, perhaps an automated worked that is waiting for something to do or a great person just sitting there.
