Crash at 2k emblem [PC][Steam]

My game crashes as soon as the 2k emblem comes to screen or just after it.
Anyone else having the same issue? I know some people get to see the intro cinematic, i don't even get to that point
I've downloaded it twice and restarted my computer numerous times, i've also run it in windowed mode. When i had it set to skip the intro the screen just turned black (as if loading something) and then exited. Windows doesn't report any errors
Also when i validate the game files each time it says there is another file that needs to be downloaded and it never stops saying that so i figure i may be missing game files? But that be the same missing files for two seperate downloads.... >

Any suggestions?

Have you tried making sure your video card drivers are fully updated?

I would MAYBE try once again uninstalling the game, and then manually deleting ALL files associated with Civ 5.

This would be the folder in steam, the folder in documents/my games/ and anything else you can think of. Then try and reinstall.

Other than I'm jealous of your computer's specs, I can't think of a whole lot else to try.

I'll try the reinstalling and deleting everything and i read that thread thanks for the help i'll update if it fixes
