Playing multiplayer with my wife atm, just dropped 110 at bestbuy to do this, and we want to save our game to continue later. I cannot save, neither can she. What's going on?

I can't save on just the single game. Unless I use Quicksave or Steam. I haven't tried multiplayer yet.Originally Posted by MaxB

On the save screen at the top right is a "Steam Cloud" check box. At least that seems to work. Wish I knew why local saves weren't working.
BTW: Is there a short cut for quick saving and loading? I read the civilopdia and didn't find any information on that.
Multiplayer created an auto-save every turn that you can use to restart your game later. =)
Local saves stop working as soon as you check the steam cloud check box in the save game dialogue.
They worked just fine for me until I checked this box. I never even saved to the cloud, just clicked the box to see what it did and then un-checked it.... bam, local saves stop working.
I was in the exact same situation. I was playing a LAN game with my wife. NO effing save. Just insane.

I remember 2k Greg telling us tales that they betatest multiplayer... Yeah, sure, if they really did it, how they were able to miss such a blatant bugs?
