    dx 11 does not work

I try to play the demo, before the game comes to europe, but with no succes yet. A lot of reading and nothing works, but what wonders me most is that, when I choose to play the demop with dx10 or dx11, there is no respond at all?

No I have tried dx9 and it crashes all the time.
I have win 7 64-bit and with that dx11, and my videocard is Nvidia Geforce go 7300 Turbocache, and it works normally fine with dx11

You need a DX11 card to run in DX11 mode, you have a DX9 card, you must have an ATI 5800 series or Nvida Fermi series for DX11 to be available, if memory serves 7000 series from the green guys isn't even DX10.

Well, if that is right, I have a dx9 card, but that does not work either, will there be a patch before release in europe?

Do you have a windows username with non-standard characters (like 'æ' or apostophes) ? I had a very similar errormessage, had to move 'My Documents' to a direcory not containing non-standard chars for it to work

If the "launcher" is not responding when you click the DX10/11 option, you may be running Steam in compatability mode. Right click on the "Steam.exe", click the "compatibility" tab and take a look.

If you are, turn it off. If you need to run in compatability mode, make sure it is set to at least Vista Service Pack 2.
