    PLEASE, anyone help. URGENT.

Hey guys, well..ive got a problem.

Ever since civ 4 ive had this problem and i figured it'd go away with civ 5, but it just happend again.

The problem is not my start up of the game, or anything like that. Its when im playing the game. I dont know why but everytime im playing a game, in a number of turns my game will crash.

The screen goes black and comes up with a message saying "civ has encountered an error and has stopped working". Meaning my game shuts down and i lose all my progress.

Ive updated all drivers and direct X. Any ideas? Anyone with the same problem?

You might have some bad memory. Bad memory is known to cause issues like that, trust me I know first hand.

Its not that you don't have enough but what you do have is faulty. You could try turning off your PC, unplug the power and take out the ram and reinsert it. If that still doesn't help, you may need to purchase some ram to remove the ram you do have.

I have 2GB of ram and its works just fine, and fast.

How many sticks do you have? 3? If so, try running two at a time to see if you can find a bad stick. Just make sure the comp is powered off of course before you start yanking them. :P

So if with 2 you still get the issue, then swap one of the two out and replace with the stick that was already out of the computer. If it still continues, then swap the last stick. That should help identify if you have a memory issue.
