Bioshock 2 crashes when logging into GFWL

I bought the retail version of BS2 and it worked fine for 6 hours. After getting to Pauper's Drop, it stopped recognizing saves. Now, when trying to play, it crashes when I log into GFW. The game will also crash alot on the very first screen with the white text. Strangely enough, the MP works fine. I've uninstalled and reintalled everything possible. I've read every thread i could find on the issue. Is there a possible fix for this?

edit: I uinstalled and reinstalled again, and it does not crash when I log into GFW for now. It tells me that there is an update available for the game. If I download and install this update, the GFW login crashing will begin. It still crashes at the first screen with white text 7 out of 10 times.

As I have my own problems with this game I have read trough a lot of help threads by now.
I am not sure if it will work but you can try this:
    1. delete the savegame folder
I have read that b2 checks the savegames before it starts. If they are corrupt it won't work. Of course you would have to start from the beginning then.

2 (if 1. does not work) download and install the patches manually

So far, please report what happens

    Greetings,

Hey guys, made an account just to post here but wolfbolt or anyone can tell me where the save games are located, I played bioshock version 1 but it then had to update afterwards so I am thinking that my crashes during logging into GFWL is caused by these earlier version saves. the location of my Bioshock2 file is F:/games/bioshock2, where should i look?

^ I am playing on PC and my BioShock 2 saved games folder, is in my Documents folder.
    Don't know if this helps?
Let us know how you get on.
