Help needed

Hi everyone,

I hope someone can help. I think I am having trouble with my monitor... When the intro is over (I can watch the intro without problem) my monitor screen goes black and I get a message from the monitor " Out of range - H. Frequency 49 KHZ - V. Frequency 60 HZ". I can hear the music in the background but my monitor is showing a black screen & no menus. It happened to me once with AOE3 and I think I had to change the video setting of the game but since I don't see the menu I don't know how to do it ( I could also be wrong) I would really appreciate any help.

My specs (Video Card drivers updated yesterday)

Windows XP sp3
Core 2 Duo 2.67ghz
Nvdia GTX 260
4 G Ram

Check My Files\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5 Demo\GraphicsSettingsDX9.ini

Change FullScreen = 1 to FullScreen = 0

Its windowed mode and should use your desktop refresh rate.
Start game and change video settings as u like.

Step 1, is realizing that bumping a 2 year old thread, means it is not likely you are having the same issue.

If you can post a new thread - with your DXDIAG included, ill help

Very unlikely that he'll read this... if he truly has the same problem, the fix is in the second post. And obviously he didn't read that one...
