Couple more bugs this morning (Will it never end?).
When you 'Choose Production' from the main RH bar and go to the city screen the stats it shows for production, science, food etc. are wrong (esp. Production). If you go to the std 'City screen' straight after you then see the true production value (about double in my current game). It looks as though it's not including all the multipliers such as Railroad etc.
Moving my '8 move' destroyer through the watery territory of an enemy state, I had 8 moves left, moved 1 square and I then had NO moves left!? Presume is same for all ships moving through enemy state waters but not checked yet.
When moving units (esp. Tanks and Mech Inf) into an adjacent square then if another square adjacent to both of these squares has road or railroad then the program moves the Unit to this other square first eff' wasting a move! (Hope this one makes sense). If not say and I will explain better or attach link to a screen shot that explains it.

Stealth bombers do not receive promotions, not even when FireTuner is used to add XP.
Demographics screen only reports population increases to about 2.147 billion. After that, cities continue to grow, but increases in population are not reported on the demographics screen.
I don't know if the stealth bomber issue has been reported; I'm fairly sure that the population demographics has not been reported yet.![]()
If the demographics problem stems from the game using a table of population values for cities and aggregating them...well, there are now mods out there (Proc's CTP mod) that are currently balancing the game around exponential, rather than linear, growth. Theoretical maximum on my cities with that mod runs into several hundred pop, with actual pop at around 160 and still growing (every turn).

@Helbinor: If you can't get your disc drive working, you can still install the game. After you register your CD key with Steam, it will let you download the game through the internet, as long as you have the bandwidth to do it. It's around a 4 GB download I believe.
Team members start at totally random location around the map.
Problem with my friend and me teaming against unteamed immortal/emperor AI is that, it takes 10-20 times to recreate the game to get us started together on a standard pangea map with maximum number of AI. It seems to be totally random or "BIAS"-random, which both are equally random. If we don't start close together, we are toast. Anyway I really think as a "team" you should start together, or better than that, have an tick-option for either team start or random start.
We tried a "Four Corners"-map too, which put us on seperate corners with our enemies. I really think that even you thought this would be 4 teams against each other? Also more players in a team means it takes staticly even more time to get to start together, so even thinking it makes us not want to try playing more than 2 players vs AI.
This happens most of the time.

OK, I didn't read through all 13 pages of this thread so I apologize if someone has reported this game bug before.
I conquered Egypt on a standard map. A three or four rounds later, I quicksaved the game and closed the program. When I came back and reloaded the game, both Siam and India on their first turn declared war on the defunct Egyptian empire! The text said that they'd declared war but did not list a country, but it was the Egyptian icon.
BTW, I used the quicksave because the game crashes whenever I do a standard save.

I'm having a strange graphical glitch which I've only noticed on the archipelago map type. Some map items seem to get stuck on the screen and move with it everywhere. Exiting to the main menu and reloading the game does nothing, only exiting the game will fix it for a while.
See the two screenshots below:

Bug: Unit gets stuck in other civ's city, jamming the game.
Situation: playing songhai, I routed a horseman to travel through an area with a 1 hex path all the way through other civ's open borders, mountains one side, water the other. An Aztec city was in the path. My horseman went over an aztec unit on a hill, into an aztec city. Shroud uncovered the way out blocked by other aztec units, leaving me with 1/4 moves and nowhere to move.
end turn button only said 'Move Stacked Unit', I was unable to wait turn or fortify in the other civs city, and couldn't move out. Only options left were gift unit or disband unit.
Picture available if wanted.

Consecutive culture bombs are supposed to have a minimum wait time of 10 turns in between. However, if one saves after the first culture bomb and reload, one can perform another culture bomb immediately.
i have some strange issues...
in a coast city i've build the Stonehenge wonder and i've noticed that in the map it's been placed into the water!!! it's an undewater Stonehenge![]()
![]()
in another coast city other buildings, like the stadium, are displayed into the water, or, underwater!!![]()
and now, a big problem... maybe graphical issue, the same as above mentioned...
in the ocean i've created a city on a single terrain exagon, and city name appears, but there is no sign of the city on the map, the green terrain become of somekind of gray, but there isn't any city!!! only the name displayed!!!
it's a bug or the game can't display the 3D building of the city for somekind of strange reason?!?
sorry for my bad english![]()
At the end of every turn after trading a resource with a nation it says, "Your trade has ended with (insert nation)" even though my trading with that nation ended like 15 turns ago. So the game keeps thinking that I have resources that are still exported to another nation even though they're not and they keep adding up on every turn... so after a few turn I have "115 horses" and "Your trade has ended with (insert nation)" over and over. Blah.
Also when I trade a resource such as "horses" it will originally say, "5 horses for 90 turns" then I'll switch it to 1 horse and it'll say "1 horse for 20 turns" I'll switch it back to 5 horses and it says, "5 horses for 20 turns"
Buggy stuff.![]()
I had a peace treaty end and I got that Icon on the right of the screen and the little sound effect. But the BUG here is that now every turn then on that same icon and sound pop up. Now I got two of each that another peace treaty ended. Annoyed here. Can any one help??
Not sure if this is the right topic to post my bug (with a chance of actually getting a patch that fixes this) so please move it if needed.
There is not a whole lot to say about this one, because the crash doesn't give any information. Programmers may want to get my savegame here to reproduce the crash. It either happens the next turn, but if it doesn't it will happen after that (I've had it happen when taking over a city on the next 1 or 2 turns). I don't see a way around this crash, it seems unavoidable.
The map is the large world map, playing with Domination victory condition only as American civilization. Other settings are defaults. I've been playing for 641 turns.

OK, sorry it took so long to respond. So I get access to 1 ivory in my city, then I build a baazar to get another copy of the resource. I then enter the trade screen with another civ, trade screen shows I have (2) ivory. I make a deal for his extra silk, put in my ivory then propose trade, he accepts. My Happy doesn't change, I mouse over my happy Icon at the stop of the screen, it shows silk, but doesn't show my ivory anymore. Kinda defeats the entire purpose of the Civs special building.
EDIT: I just played a multiplayer game with a friend and it seemed to be working as intended. Not sure if it was patched or what was different between this game and the last game I played as the Arabs. I'll play around with it and update this post again.
I have access to my own whale, I become allies with a city-state who is also gifting me a whale. In the trade screen it shows up as me only having access to 1 whale. I can trade that 1 whale (my whale) and still have access to the gifted city states whale, however I think there should be some way to tell how many extra luxuries you have rather then total. I'm sure I've missed out on a lot of income because I see the (1) and assume It's my only copy of the luxury. Not really a bug but something that could be improved.

Need more or varied leaders.
Bug: Running a huge map with extra added opponents, duplicates are used. This means i have two Augustus Caesar, two Gandhis, etc. Not a problem sometimes as both have different colours. But sometimes, especially when an ally asks for help going to war, I don't know which Gandhi he means: Green Gandhi or Yellow Gandhi? one is weak, the other very strong. Perahps a title or honorific would help. Lord Gandhi, Emperor Gandhi?
Didn't find this with search so here and no mention on the next update fix list.
The multiplayer savegame AI seems to be always reseting to "prince" after you reload your game. After you load the game you can see "prince" on human player difficulties, they are grayed and can't change them. I had my doubts when cooping up with my friend against "immortal", and after we got disconnect problem we reloaded the game and steamrolled the AI. Before that the AI was going pretty strong. Also some friends have told the same thing. Haven't really tested this with deity->reload, as there's so many bugs currently that we don't play it until they are fixed.
AI difficulty reset should happen every time you reload the multiplayer savegame.
This game is very unstable and if this had been made in Finland the seller should be responsible to customers and pay back all money.
The game tilts in several situations.
1. Game type easy, standard, marathon, earth.
Turn 869, 1850AD, Mass Media (8) under development. And then the game crashes with any tested game play settings. Why ???
I am the game builder Guru in Finland and my PC is the powerful Fujitsu-Siemens with 8 Gb memory, Win 7 64-bit, Intel Core i3, NVIDIA gt 220 4Mb memory etc. So my PC is much over the needed specs.
But I have found several situations where this game crashes. And if you try to play earth, marathon, don't. Hopefully the game developers contact me and then I can fly to US or where ever to make this game work.

A few bugs me and my friends have come across so far in multilayer only.
-Bugged AI trade.
-Example1:at the end of a deal involving iron(from user) for gold(from AI)
each subsequent turn gave the user iron. This is further
bugged by Elizabeth +horse per turn per.
-Example2:Constant notification of ended deals multiple turns after.
-Example3:AI responding negatively to "what will make this
deal work" and accepting an offer anyway.
-Bugged UI
-Example1:Loading screen imposed after the end of the first
turn involving a game with multiple human teams with no AI
situation rectified after disconnection of any one player.
There's probably more that I'm forgetting but I'll try to add them onto this post as and when.

Marathon, Random civ, Random map, emperor.
-Everyone declared war on me. I'm not ☺☺☺☺☺ing about that, but about the fact that they all declared war on me all over again every single turn. All 9 AI's.
-Even after i moveda unit, its health bar and logo would occasionally stay in one spot for the rest of the game.
-2 Ai's refused to expand. I guess they took the single city challenge.
[BUG] Foreign unit in Foreign land.
I'm at war with Egypt. They have captured most of the English except for London. Somehow Elizabeth has a Great General in the city of York even though it's under Egyptian control. I want to capture York and give it back to the English, but doing so triggers war with Elizabeth as her unit is stationed in the city.
Bug - I managed to put two military units in the same square.
If you use a cavalry unit to attack a city but it says it'll take 2 turns, it moves towards the city and attacks at the first opportunity, if this uses up its moves then it stays where it is, even if that's on top of another unit.
Yes, I had that problem too - do you have an LG DVD-ROM by any chance? Where are you from? (Just trying to figure, may be we got a faulty batch of them).
I almost returned it as a faulty one, but eventually found a way around it. I turned off all DVD-ROM related software (daemon tools, magicISO, Nero, Ashampoo, all their related agents, everything had to go, even if you have to stop the process through Task Manager. Then create an ISO image of the DVD (had to try many times until the DVD-ROM identified the DVD) and then loaded it with MagicISO (but DaemonTools will do just fine too). Now I play the game without a DVD. Just another bug in a game full of them.
Can something be done about this? No matter how I start the game, I end up having to select DirectX9/DirectX10/11. How hard is it to remember these settings? The funniest parts are that if I start it through Steam then Steam asks me if its D9 or D10/11, then the game itself asks me again! Who wrote this code, a monkey at Dresden Zoo?
Then, to top it off, there is the option to create a shortcut to your favourite start option. So you right-click on D10/11 and it creates a shortcut on your desktop which is supposed to directly launch D10/11 mode... Only it doesn't! Instead, it launches the stupid DirectX selection menu again. Firaxis, I don't know where you guys outsource your coding to - India, Philippines, Egypt, China, Russia, but please - stop doing that. The results are appalling.
Here is a minor one - the quote used for discovery of Machinery is about Print Press instead.
Hi Everyone,
I just had to restore my PC, and when I started the CIV again, I had lost the unit options/instructions box on the left side of the screen and I do not know how to put it back again, I am sure its easy but please help me out, I can move the first units but cant give them any instructions.

I've played a few games today with the new patch (1.0.0.62), and a few times, the game hung on the waiting for other player with the globe spinning, no way to recover from it. If I exited and loaded the last save game, it happened again once I got up to that turn.
Also, a few times, I've chosen a tiny islands map and got a snaking archipelago the size of the map.

First, thanks for fixing several problems like the unit autocycling!
However, here are a few observations/questions of features/bugs that are quite annoying:
1) When a unit is out of moves and cannot do anything else for the current turn, please gray it out and take it off the "Unit needs orders" list...
2) not all units that have "actions" left for the current turn appear in the "Unit needs orders" list (ie. ignore "sleeping/fortified units")
3) why can't we tell a worker to build roads to other cities or to a specific location?
4) Please choose a different color/icon for the "next turn" if you have units that still have actions availalbe v. when no units have actions available for that turn.
5) Could you add the ability to ignore the diplomatic contacts from a specific civ, or at least give the option to ignore "minor" diplomatic contacts (ie. trade inquiries)?
6) Why can't I click to goto a unit from the military overview?![]()
