YLOD ruined my Man About Town Trophy

Could someone tell me if there is a way for 2k to reset my online account so that I can get the Man About Town trophy again? My Ps3 did the YLOD before I could sync this trophy with my system and now I'm not able to unlock it again. I've read that the rebirth DLC could fix my problem but I'm not sure if it will reset the types of maps that I've played on. I also would rather not have to pay for rebirth if possible. Are there any free options for me out there? Is there a way for 2k to reset my account for free?

Sorry in order for it to count you have to have synced trophies.You're SOL on this one bud,sorry. You'll just have to start over,or i think you can get it if you log on and play on you account on another PS3,not sure about that since i've never tried it.

Also as they say in economics,there's no such thing as a free lunch. Just buy the metro pack.Rebirth won't fix your problem though anyways.

So there's absolutely no way of me earning this Man About Town trophy for my own account any longer? I want to continue playing this game, but not if I can't reap all the rewards. I would even consider the metro pack, but only if it will reset me for the chance to unlock this trophy again.
