Unofficial Haiku Thread

I'm a fan of the traditional 5-7-5 haiku along with its predecessor, the short renga, or tanrenga, of 5-7-5-7-7 form along with other non-traditional forms such as "balanced" haiku such as 3-5-7-5-3 so I'm opening this thread for dorks like myself that only check this forum every week or so and didn't get a chance to write Haiku for the 30-second long contest ;p

Feel free to add your own in any form you wish. And here are my contributions...

Escape:

Metal scraping walls
Running for the door I flee
Metal tearing flesh

Big Daddy watches over
While Little Sister works


Big Daddy:

Dry feet hit wet floors
Water rising higher now
Refuge in the suit

This is what I have become
A monster but I am still

Me


Life Now:

Water dripping down
Hunger in my soul, Adam
What have I become?

cool, nice idea. does anyone know when we'll be getting the results of the official haiku contest? the anticipation's killin' me

I don't know when we will get the Results there was 99 posts in that Thread and most of them where Haikus, and it takes time to judge all of those.
