Definitely have to agree with you here. My favorite FPS for the past couple of years to play. I need to play through it the alternate way now.

The game for me is the most fun I have had in an Fps ever. It had some flaws that can be ignored. Waiting to see how it will compare to Halo 3.
I agree with you 100% I haven't played a FPS in a long time that has been this fun to play and has kept me hooked to the storyline for more than ten minutes. Thanks 2k for a great game.
Just goes to show how low people's standards are these days, comparing this game to ☺☺☺☺ like GOW and Halo 3. But then again, people, especially people like Xbox gamers - will buy anything that has a lot of hype behind it and they'll ALWAYS think it's great. It's been YEARS since a game with loads of hype has received negative criticism and turned out to suck, but most of these 'big name' games throughly deserve it. Oblivion was ☺☺☺☺ing *ASS* and people are still such sheep they think it's great.
Gaming's been around long before the Xbox, and Bioshock is nothing new. In faction Bioshock is worse then some other games. I suggest you trash that ☺☺☺☺ing console and get a real gaming system and play some *real* games that aren't Halo.
Of course you Xbox kids probably like it for the graphics and would refuse to play System Shock 2 because it looks like ass.

Oh and Starcraft 2 will fit in there. The game isn't even out yet, and I'll bet you RIGHT NOW that the response will be the same. Despite massive flaws in the product, despite the fact that even this early in development it's obvious that most of the 'new features' for SC2 are stolen directly from other RTS games, sheeple will be blind to those flaws because they bought into the hype and CONVINCED themselves it was good, and they'll be saying the same thing. GOTY. Best game ever. 10/10.
Oh and Halo, can't forget how everyone treats that like the best game ever made.
What else? How about Fallout 3? It'll sell well too because it has a name brand on it and lots of marketing hype. All the ADD Xbox kids who don't even know what FEV stands for are going to think it's great, even though it's just going to be another mainstream pile of ☺☺☺☺ that craps all over a widely-recognized BETTER GAME.
SS2 did everything Bioshock did, but better. How you end up with the dumbed-down game being 'better' and 'near perfect' is beyond me, except maybe for the fact that Xbox kiddies would see weapon degradation and realize that ammo is *actually limited* and get pissed off and quit to go play Halo because their tiny minds can't comprehend what 'depth' means.
I still don't get it - which games are you referring too? Are you saying that Oblivion and HL2 are so much better, that bioshock looks like ☺☺☺☺ to you in comparison?

Highly enjoyable game for sure.
But as pointed out, SS1 and SS2 really are the closest to judge against, and personally, I like SS1 the best. I really miss the experiance of cyberpunk hacking that was SS1. Aww, now I am startting to miss the old DOS4GW days....
Best ever FPS?.. well its up there for sure, but tbh, Doom still holds that title for me, and if you were gaming in that period you will know why, it just shattered all boundries of its time.
However, having said that, Bioshock and I am hoping Crysis will round out the top 5

This game is far better than SS2,light years better,have the same nuances that SS2 have,taking off the weapon malfunction,but in overall beats SS2 in every aspect!!
In fact the weapon malfunction it was a pain in the ass in SS2,in most critical moments the damn gun jammed!!!

Where the hell you saw a game with this atmosphere and this plot?
Hell i bet you never saw a movie with this type of environment...claustrophobic,scary and the damn good graphics,awesome in fact!!!
This game were good,even if it was a simple FPS,just shooting and nothing else,the type of Painkiller...because the simple fact that itīs the most terrific atmosphere that i saw in FPS game,even better than Doom3

I have more than 100 original pc games,and 80% of them are FPS...i played them since early 90īs,even earlier than the original Doom came out,and i say,mark my words...this game itīs going to win the game of the year award,if this game doesnīt win it,Crisis win it!
