Exclamation 2K Greg - Questions about demo and after demo gameplay

I though that it would be nice to make a single topic for questions. To make 2K easy to make and answer, and players to find them.

    So My questions are:

1 Will there be a glob view like in civ 4 with maximum zoom out.

2 How many soc. Pol. Can we adopt

3 How many turnns per game on normal speed

4 Locolized version of civ 5 will be 1 october, can i preorder english version now and download translation later?

5 Will there be any multiplayer limitations for eu and russia?

Well, I can sort of answer this question for you. I believe you can adopt all social policies which don't conflict with each other. For example if you first unlock the Liberty then you cannot unlock Order in conjunction with that. However, you can always abandon a social branch so I guess you technically could adopt all of them.

Of course, I really have no idea so it's better to wait for an official response from Greg than take my word for it.

Is there going to be a strategic layer like in Civ 4 where you can draw on the map?

You can?! All this time I have been scribbling on my flat panel 24" monitor with crayons and permanent marker! (Except not really)

Question: Did your crippling loss to Napoleon affect your current opinion of him as a leader/ human being?

I think the Globe view is replaced by the Strategic view. But Globe view is a whole different thing, such as viewing the entire map.. Hopefully there IS a globe view.

It's liberty and autocracy that conflict.

It is in fact gone. It was confirmed a couple times by previewers.

Hi, I also have a few questions:

    1. In the demo you stated that it was possible to reduce the default number of civs on a map e.g. 6 civs +12 city states on a standard map but is it possible to increase the number of civs on a map, e.g. 12 + 12 city states on a standard map? If not, I guess I will have to dive into the XML each time!

    2. What AI levels "cheat" and how?

    3. Is there a tech which reduces the "movement ends after crossing a river" mechanic - perhaps when following a road which bridges the river?

    Thanks to all who answer!

    1. In the demo Napoleon had artilleries which were range 3 but his cities still had a range of 2 so is there a technology/social policy to increase attack range of cities or are cities defenseless against late(r) game siege equipment?

    2. What is the unique unit(s) and/or unique building of Babylonian empire and what is their unique ability?

    3. Did you rage quit your Japan game after the stream was cut?

    1. I hope not, it'd make taking cities incredibly difficult if we all play like Greg.

    2. So far all we know is the Babylonia Bowman, but that's it.

    3. I wonder this as well.
