I'll be playing Civ5 on Bootcamp. Same for Civ4, never had it for the Mac either.
isnt there a psot or a statement somewhere from Jon SHafer saying that they wil ldo one, just not timeframe set yet?

No, just if it takes the same amount of time as Civ4, It'll be released in May.
For Civ IV Mac they basically created two versions, one for PPC and one for Intel that is why it took so long
