im a console gamer, theres been no patch for us either. as for that 1.01 patch, that had something to do with the free dlc that us ps3 users got with the game.
I think they are over trying to listen to peoples suggestions. They got your money and now they'll focus on more money(read: DLC)
What do you want to improve? Performance is great and I never saw any glitches... the game is very polished, on PC anyway.

You're kidding yourself if you think there is going to be anything other than DLC for this game. The core game was pretty well optimised and bug free so a patch isn't really necessary.
I was more talking about content. Like putting in all the stuff they planned to put in but "didn't have time" to do so.
Why are you making a thread about patches when there is already one on the same page of the forum? So many people are making duplicate threads, often with no real value (this thread for example might as well read 'have a go at 2K in this thread, moan about no patch first, then onto general ranting that has been done in 50+ threads already'. Actually it is probably 100+ threads.).
Besides these threads often being pointless and occasionally inaccurate, don't you realise you are pushing other similar threads off the front page? If you think these rants actually need reading, making duplicate threads isn't going to help get them noticed. Furthermore, any actual worthwhile or at least original threads are going to be lost in a sea of ranting.
Well if you want to lessen the rant then you'd release a patch adding in some features/missions... that were advertised like in the videos and teasers of the game for free.
I'm arguing in favour of not duplicating complaints and keeping all complaints which are similar in one thread, for the benefit of the paying customers.

Only my theory, they would only be able to release the content to the pc users because it would drag down the performance on consoles, basically they are not going to release it to the pc only otherwise there would be hell to pay from the console users, it would be a bad marketing move.
They are working on another game now. Spin off as far as I remeber.

Not sure how much worse it would make it given the absolute abomination marketing wise that the full game received. First the ☺☺☺☺ demo and the rubbish game itself. They might as well have bought a bunch of chimps. Couldn't of done any worse.

If I were starting several threads pointing out how counter productive threads like this are, then it would be comparable, but I have simply tried to point out the problems caused by this type of thread.
By the way, I don't think the game is perfect, and have voiced my concerns and criticism of the publishers/developers plenty of times on this forum. I am not a blind 'fanboy' trying to pretend there are no faults with 2K or their game. I just loathe the mess that the forum has descended into.

the pc patch for jimmy it crashed alot of mafia 2 copies
i'm gonna report my personal experiences now:
a patch is desperately needed, for chapter 14. i have never, ever, seen such bugs in a "finished"game. i did not have any problems with the mona lisa door, or falling under the map, no, i simply couldn't pay bruno back, the door was inaccassible to me. and before someone asks, yes, i'm aware it's in the back and yes, i did have enough money. i'm sorry for this bulk of text coming up:
so i tried to get help for this, asked around everywhere. i heard that 2K released a patch, so i went to xbox live to get my game updated, hoping the patch would fix my problems... nada. nill. beyond nothing, still the same problem. so people told me that i'd have to replay the whole chapter, not just the last checkpoint. did that and still failed at the same spot. another bloke told me that he could never finish when he wore a tailored suit, but he was magically able to do so, if he played the chapter wearing the standard leather jacket. what the... i was wearing one of the tailored suits too and got massive graphic bugs during saving joe. anyway. so i got another tip, don't rob shops to collect the money, just crush four or five cars at bruski's, then it should work. so, i played this chapter for the third time. while i was on my third or fourth car at the crusher, all of a sudden my regular screen disappeared and all i saw was the skybox. that's right, just the skybox model. so i am very annoyed that i have to reload my last checkpoint and repeat this step, not even knowing if i'll be able to finish the chapter this time. after about 30 seconds of loading, this cheap stupid game is seriously telling me something like "loading failed" ... and i had to restart the chapter for a 4th time. considering the two tips i got from other people, i was finally able to beat the chapter and continue.
end of the story, literally: not only butchered, but buggy as hell.. i will never buy a 2K product again.
They may be working on a patch as we speak to silence the negativity.
Best case scenario.

I really hope they're working on "plan b" right now.
How can you guys say it's bug free :P have you not taken even a cursory glance at the support page?

"they should", or "they have to", etc, but it's all been stated before. of course it sucks how they won't support modding, but the 50th person saying they should do something is not gonna change anything. they also should have given me a full game for my 60 bucks, so that asking for dev tools would never be necessary.
