    Fastest Map Take-Over?

I was just wondering if you guys knew what the fastest take-over date is. By take-over, i mean settling a city in every possible location on the map, islands and all, with literally no tiles to spare. We can categorize by difficulty level, because i think that would make a small difference in times (ie not getting the walk-in because diety's 40% production bonus).

I just finished an american game on cheiftan and took over the map with 69 cities by 900BC. I couldve had 70, but i accidently gave the zulu peace for 10 turns or something, and 69 cities by 900BC sounds much better than 70 cities by 0AD. Couldve sped it up a few turns if i had spawned with a GB instead of a GE, and teched HBR a turn sooner since i thought id get it from a hut. Also, i found ScoG when i was already at 40 cities, so finding that earlier wouldve saved many turns.

Then again, it was on cheiftan. Ill try again tomorrow on diety. Anyone know of someone trying this before, on any difficulty level? If not, i think we should duke it out for the fastest take-over.

I never tried it and i'm not going to try it.
But watch my video and analyse it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_pkNWQLPmY etc.
I did 1100 BC Cultural Victory on Deity (GOTW, no saves).
I had 4 cities at 2700 BC and 40 cities at 2100 BC, 70 cities should be possible at 1600-1500 BC (slow because expanding on islands is slow).

On Chieftain with BIG luck you can:
-get Republic (from AW) at 3800 BC
    -Spain at 3600 BC
    -Atlantis 3400 BC
    -Medieval Era 3300 BC
-with good map (no small islands) take-over at 2100-2200 BC should be posssible.

I think bumbumalot got to 72 cities in a ranked H2H match, before his opponent quit out.

Bumbums opponent must of had 1 city, and been a total noob though.

Yeah some maps have more tiles than others. Had i completely filled the map by taking zimbabwe, i wouldve maxed out at 70.

What how can you even get all the settlers produced by then, I guess you could go on two trees but that's three turns for a settler and even then you'd have to be Roman to make a settler right off the bat :/

Because he's tired of whooping everyone in MP.

I love Kadera's no nonsense analyses.

Hey Aheadatime I'm going to play some again, I took a break. If you see me online, stop dancing around in SP like this and come whoop me please so I don't have to play ranked.

Working two trees it takes five turns to get a settler.

Anyone expanding this quickly is using a lot of gold.

How many times do I have to tell you that feeding me your settler and filling up the map aren't the same thing!
