    Just wondering about Mafia 3

Will there still be people who patiently wait it for years ?
    Any committed fans left ?

For me this was the end of Mafia series - enough is enough. Indeed I have learned something - for now on I will avoid sequels for good games .... and most of all - I will never by a single game which needs Steam (or whatever similar "service") to be installed.

Just wiped Mafia 2 and Steam client away from my computer - time to move on.

So thank You all of discussions during past years.

This game was meant to be an epic story...
Its fu*king short and so fu*king cliche, they should have just called it Goodfellas/ Godfather the game (USCPLFDLC edition. (or Ultimate ☺☺☺☺y Cliche Pay Loads For DLC Edition).)

GTA as silly as it was gave us loads to do during and after completion.
2k should be f*cking closed down for this. it is nowhere near the same league as any of the GTA games, not even f*cking Chinatown Wars on the DS.
Simply put where GTA is quantity, this is neither quality nor quantity.

    WHAT AN EPIC FAIL 2K.

It's over. Mafia 3 will tank. I am now no longer looking forward to DNF or X-COM as they'll probably follow the same ☺☺☺☺ty publisher cutting out content and putting in stupid schedules that impose ridiculous content cuts and shortcuts in design and development of those games just as Mafia 2, Borderlands and Bioshock 2 have experienced.

2k, you can't keep selling games based solely on the awesomeness that was Bioshock 1. You've made a whole bunch of crap games since that 1 awesome game. Tighten up and increase the quality of your products.

I am happy that I only rented Mafia 2. I don't feel cheated out of my money so I can look forward to Mafia 3. Probably another rent again.

    Mafia 3 - Box with DVD 30$
    Story - 20$
    Grass - 5$
    Weapons - 10$
    Cars - 20$
Saving - 2$ for one save in game

    I won't buy a Mafia 3

Mafia 2 was entertaining for the short time it ran, but ultimately a let down. I have written a short review on a local newsportal and on my Facebook page, advising not to buy the game for anything more than $30.

What is much worse though, is 2k's missing reaction to the undeniable dissatisfaction of so many people here. Right now, I feel disrespected as a customer and am unwilling to buy any title whatsoever from 2k. I wanted to buy Civ5, but will not do so now.

basically 2k have stabbed themselves in the throat. The executioner axe has come down on all of 2k's heads.

Play all of them - III, VC, SA, and then IV. You really can't miss out.

oki diddly doki..i`ll start on san andreas and then to 4,as my nephew has them all i suppose i can try before i buy my own set.

mucho grassy arse for the tips

The first two you can get for free as far as I know. They are more like arcade games from top-view, but fun. Starting from GTA3 they went 3D. I have played Vice City and San Andreas. IMO, Vice City is cool, but San Andreas is much better. The story is decent and the amount of freedom is just awesome. There is tons of side missions, character customizations, vehicles, easter eggs and and and.

I didnt play any of the GTAIV series, because they require compulsory registration with Games for MS and the Rockstar Social club. I'd love to play it, but I refuse to such harrassing and boykotting it's the only way to make them notice.

I don't know if I'd boycott further installments, but it's definitely made me more wary of 2K. I thought Bioshock 2 was bad but this whole debacle is something else.

SA and Vice City are great on PC. GTAIV is great as well. If you know anything about PC's and have a recent-ish (i.e. 8800 era +/3870+), it works fine.

I don't know. I think Sanandreas was the best one. You had everything. I played that game for maybe 7 years or so.

oh yeah i agree but this game was meant to be proper good quality story, and it certainly wasn't.
Yeah I know, I liked it though but the ending was bad. They didn't put enough work eventhough they said it.

Can't believe u never played any GTA game, I think that GTA is the best series ever made of games. The freedom, it has good story, it has everything.

Indeed GTA IV runs great on PC now after the patches.
Still requires a decent PC to max everything out but when you can do that its simply eye candy all the way.

Btw, don't forget to install the GTA IV Environment Mod and More Peds Everywhere one and you're in for a treat
There are tons of other mods out there but that comes down to personal taste.

    To the OP:
If and I say if, Mafia 3 really offers a longer consistent story with around 35-45 hrs of gameplay and with a lot to do on the side then I might consider buying it.
Will wait even longer this time to purchase it though and see what people who finished and screwed around with it have to say about it first.

No, I need me some NBA 2k. Relax dude, every gaming company puts out an occasional 'bad' game.

San andreas was the best. GTA4 was kinda boring. Long, easy, and boring. Red dead is the better version. Try that instead.

downloading all the san andreas stuff now, once patched and stuff i`ll be diving in.

i`m a console hater so i cant play red dead, not for want of searching either, its one of the games i had bookmarked for buying.
then they decided to not release it on pc.

incidently,i have been replaying mafia 1 again, and then started mafia 2 up just to see.
if others did the same as me and saw what an epic game mafia 2 should have been, its easy to understand the total loss of respect and customer loyalty that 2k will undoubtedly suffer from this debacle.

and the actual devs must be angry too,the only thing epic about mafia 2 is the potential wasted.

Of course I'm going to wait for Mafia 3, I'm English you see, and I crave disappointment.

Personally I enjoyed the first 'GTA 3' the most, and 'GTA 3:Vice City' was great too. The ones after that weren't as good in my opinion (story and mood of the games really), though they have vast playing areas and offer a lot of play time, and most players would still consider them to be good games.

Sorry, but I'd love to see a Mafia III - the mobster scene - in gaming especially - is entirely underused and not seen enough. It would be awesome to see the community feedback - that is, the creative ideas and suggestions - go straight into Mafia III.

As I love Mafia-related media, and I enjoy Mafia II, I really hope after Top Spin 4 we hear an announcement about Mafia III.

Besides, I don't think 2K Czech worked on the streaming technology for their graphic engine for no reason

    Just my two cents!

Well, if there is a Mafia 3. Hopefully history doesn't repeat itself.

But anyway, if Mafia 3 comes to be. . .It should totally be in 1970s Vegas. That would be over the top awesome.
