    Infinite Water Fatigue Glitch?

I was doing extremely good with a Pistol, I had killed 13 people without dying and was excited to be doing so good. That is, until I got hit by Incinerate!. I killed the guy, and ran to some leaking water to put myself out. But almost 2 minutes after, my screen was still fatigued by the water ripple effect. In fact, It lasted nearly 2 rounds of Civil War, and Cap. the Sis. The only reason it stopped is because I turned off my Xbox and re-started it. Now, while only happening once, Im just curious, has this ever happened to anyone else?

Never happened to me, but there are lots of odd glitches that sometimes last the rest of the match, sometimes until you actually quit the game completely and come back.

Like you are stuck with one weapon and can't switch weapons, or you are frozen in place and can't move, or some sound effect goes off over and over. Such is life.

Ive had that happen to me several times before. Its usually when I die in water though, not just cool off in it. AS well as, when I was ressing a few time, as you res. There is a neon effect on the entire map until you are completely back up. Ive died a couple times while ressing and the neon effect would stay and annoy the heck out of me. The water one could be considered worse, but they are both very annoying! I just had to quit and it fixed it for me though!

These special effects that get stuck in place during a match are known to occur. I have experienced:

The psychodelic lights where all light effects have the gain boosted to max and the player sees mulitple bright spots on the display that smear across screen as the player moves. Once stuck in place it will persist until the end of the match.

The Water Ripple effect where the player sees water ripple effect until the end of the match. Not as distracting as other special effects. I have never had this extend beyond the end of a match.

Some sound effects can also get stuck in place until the end of the match. I had this happen recently in Arcadia where I heard a very loud stream gurgle until the end of the match. This was quite annoying and distracting, it was loud and interferring with other sounds to the point I could not hear foot falls or plasmid discharges. I had to mute the TV in order to avoid the distraction.

I think what happens is the little applet that creates the effect is not destroyed when it should be, and since the trigger to destroy the applet has since expired within the game, there is nothing to remove the applet from execution and it continues as long as the match is instantiated on the console. But this is just a guess.
