Moving on.If it was prompted upon signing into the PSN then it probably wasn't for Bioshock,rather for the system. If it was prompted when starting Bioshock then it could be the 1.03 patch which is for Minerva's den or you are one of the very first to receive the non-existent 1.04 patch.
It was when I started up Bioshock 2. I got 1 the day after Minervas den and then the one I was talking about earlier. So I dont know..

Nope, so far I haven't seen anything different. Maybe it was something minor, but was I the only one that got it?
I was thinking that since you PS3ers were saying 'hey, I got a patch' and others were saying 'is it Minerva's' that maybe they were giving it a away...
I am under the impression (maybe wrong) that it is cheaper to game on PS3 then Xbox. Not that I am complaining $40 - 50 a year for all we get is a good deal in my book. They are talking about raising it, but giving us more; like ESPN on demand for example.

No patch, but a hell of a lot of system updates. Being away for 2 months is tough on my system.
As for the Online fees, I say switch to PS3. Not to spark a console war here on the forums, but if you are a big time online player and dont ever play those big Xbox exclusives like Halo, then PS3 is better, with free online. There is Playstation Plus which ups the service you get, making you get exclusive content. A lot of my friends have it..... but surprisingly Rybow doesnt..... Anyway, I like it.
Now Xbox's seems to be higher quality online, but 50 bucks for a little better service isnt as nice in my books. Then again, Im probably gonna get raged on the second I post this.
I used to play games on my computer (Bioshock, Railroad Tycoon, GT4) but decided to switch to console play after:
1) I got tired of having to upgrade my PC.
and
2) Games that I wanted to play right away (BS2) were coming out on PS3 and Xbox before PC.
So, I had to make a choice between the PS3 and Xbox. I am familar with Playstation products, having played a lot of games (Madden, NHL Hockey) on the original Playstation. Heck, I am giving away my age here but I still have a Sega as well as a Nintendo (those two used to be the opponents in the console wars). Back in the 'day' I used to play games on Atari's and Colleco's!!! But, I digress...it's an age thing.
I chose the Xbox since I was told there is a wider varity of games to choose from. And, I have thought of buying the PS3 since there is some games that are only available on it (Sack Boy, Heavy Rain ) One of my ideas was to become a secret assassin and hunt down all these PS3ers I see on the forums.
So, maybe I will get the PS3, if ever I can leave my Xbox long enough to go learn a different controller.
